YES! I'm good with this. I hated the fact that Big Boss and Solid Snake had the exact same voice, it seemed like they were the same person.. It might be strange at first but I think I'll get used to it.
I think Hayter's voice acting went down the drain as time went on. His performance in 4 was quite bad. (Haven't played PW yet.)

He absolutely does deserve it because he IS Snake. Nobody else can be Snake.

For me Snake will be always be Alfonso Valles, the spanish VA from MGS1. And I managed to being replaced by Hayter which I never liked. Deal with it.

I think, for younger people with a lot of time on their hands, this will be no big deal. For me, and I think others who have grown up with the series, I think, as time becomes more precious, its much easier to just stop playing this game and narrow my list of interests, just because of something so seemingly minor as this. Farewell MGS.

some people have some seriously fucked up priorities. i'd rather see where the story goes and see how a new, more talented actor can elevate the game.

I enjoyed his work in the previous games, but seeing him go doesn't hurt me much because we're getting a pretty awesome actor to replace him with.

I don't know how much the rest of you know about video game culture (I'm an expert), but honor and shame are huge parts of it. It's not like it is in Hollywood where you can become successful by being an asshole. If you screw someone over in video games, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.

What this means is the video game public, after hearing about this, is not going to want to purchase MGSV for either system, nor will they purchase any of Konami's games. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Konami has alienated an entire market with this move.

Konami, publicly apologize and cancel Kiefer Sutherland as Snake or you can kiss your business goodbye.
