starting to get hyped for this game. reminds me that i need to finish lollipop chainsaw. damn my gaming adhd.

Really hope a version in HD is uploaded. Really digging the fast paced combat, but want to see it in something higher than 480p.

Hot damn, I wasn't expecting combat like that. This just went from buying out of sense of obligation to buying emphatically.

God, this game looks so good.

However, I think I'm officially on a media blackout regarding this game.

I feel as though I've already seen too much. :(

The only Suda games I've played are NMH 1 and 2. Which ones am I missing? Is it worth scouring down Killer7? Love a game with authorial direction and I feel like I should play as many of his games as I can.

Absolutely, it's a great game made of pure uncut WTF. The controls are... unconventional but work perfectly fine with the way the game is designed. The only real problem is that aiming can be janky/choppy, making the precise targeting it requires frustratingly difficult at times. But even so it's a must play IMO. A true gem of the PS2/GC library.

What about Lollipop Chainsaw and Shadows of the Damned? They both kinda turn me off just because of all the embarrassing fanservice-type stuff.

edit: I would like to note that I own a copy of Suda's Samurai Champloo game which is actually pretty great. It's interesting if only to see his roots, you can see the beginnings of a lot of the design elements in NMH and Killer is Dead.

Only played Shadows of the Damned and I'd say the fanservice in the game serves as commentary on the regular use of the "save your girl" trope. Gameplay is solid but not extraordinary.

Read some stuff about Lollipop making me think the fanservice in it is used for the same effect.

I loved Lollipop Chainsaw :D It's stupid as hell with clunky combat but a ton of fun just the same.

I didn't like Shadows very much, I found it dull and tedious and it didn't feel like Suda really had anything to do with it other than putting his name on it.

Combat looks absolutely amazing. Might end up being the first Grasshopper game where they really succeed in the gameplay department. That'll be something to behold.
