Why people buy these games for single player is beyond me. Just spend 5 bucks and rent it, beat it, and return it.

commish said:If you want to see recoil-less guns, try Mag. At least, early Mag. I could take a LMG and snipe across the map without issue.
As for player health, if you get shot, there really should be no way to escape. Nothing is more frustrating than getting the drop on someone but they get away because it takes 500 bullets to drop someone. I'm not advocating r6 level of realism, but I shouldn't have to reload. Maybe I'm just remembering how the assault class could run around and rocket everyone in the face and then escape.
What no spawn grenades does is lower my damn kill count. So few people could use those correctly, it was easy to find an enemy spawn grenade and slaughter them as they spawned facing the wall.
I'll buy, screw the haters. Even if I never touch the MP, i liked the SP of KZ2 enough to buy this day1.fuzzyreactor said:personally i see the game flopping. COD players are not going to convert and KZ2 fans are too disgusted to buy.
tapedeck said:To add some more positivity to this thread Id just like to say Im having a blast playing this with the Move. It was pretty fucking terrible for the first 20 minutes or so but once I messed around with the sensitivity settings and got used to turning around quickly, it really opened up. Im thinking of picking up that sharpshooter thing whenever it comes out.

Tempy said:Should be around 8 hrs depending on your skill level and chosen difficulty level. Taking the best times from the chapter select screen is akin to claiming Super Mario Bros 3 is only 20 minutes long (or was that 10?) because you can speedrun it in that amount of time.

It is amazing, and it feels great. Did you change any of the default settings for the pointing/turning threshold btw? I left it all at 50% and it was really close to perfect, but slightly off for me. I feel like if I can tweak it a little, it'll be a whole new experience.Carl said:Wow, all i have to say is i LOVE the Move implementation in this game. Anyway, I preordered the CE guide from Amazon UK for this as well as preordering the game. Looks awesome. The sound of a kill during my first beta round brough back so many fond KZ2 memories...

sajj316 said:This needs to be said over and over again. This is something that reviewers also need to take into consideration when reviewing this title. It offers SOLID 3D support and a Move implementation that has been praised by anyone that has TRIED it.

Hi everyone,
Thank you for participating in the Open Beta Trial!
We just wanted to let you know that we are actively listening to your comments on all aspects of the game, and while we may not be able to respond to each post, we value your feedback very highly.
One of the primary objectives of this Open Beta Trial is sussing out problems relating to large user numbers before the game is released. As such, were aware of the server and connectivity issues some of you have experienced, and we want to assure you that we are working hard to fix the problem.
Please continue to post any issues you may find in the appropriate threads, and provide as much detail about the problem as you can such as your PSN ID, the time at which you experienced the issue, what you had been doing when it occurred, and anything else you might feel is important.
Well use this thread to update you on our progress, so remember to check back frequently.
Thank you, and have fun!

Let's be fair, they did listen to people since the start of KZ2. Just the wrong people.. LOLfuzzyreactor said:yea right.
Donos said:A friend just texted me that KZ3 MP is fucking great and he can't stop playing. He hated KZ2 really fast because of the controls "lag" etc... like some said, GG went to the more "mainstream" route and while many loved the "different" feeling of KZ2 you can't blame GG for "fixing" the point they got the most flak for.
Thing is that this is kind of sad because many big games will always go the safe route. I'm suprised that Resistance 3 ditched the regenerating health. Already saw "no regen health, no buy" "this is so 2002" etc. comments...

The clusterfu(ks are one of the more aspects of this game, IMO. Seriosly, the bottlenecks in Radec, or Tharsis from KZ2 were frantic and fun at times. Planting C-4 shouldn't be easy, it should take teamwork and a coordinated effort attack.Massa said:Uh, they did fix the lag, no need to use quotes around that. It was a serious issue and they fixed it.
Some didn't like the changes to the gunplay (not controls), and I get that. But fixing the clusterfucks more than makes up for that imo.

Now the weapons are another story, I shouldn't be able to sprint with an LMG in my hands liek I can with an LMG. They need to add some weight in movement with the larger weapons.
commish said:I hate you. Just ordered a move just for this game.
Deadstar said:Killzone 2 was amazing fun. I'm really sad that it seems like they tried to change too much of the core gameplay. I have only played with bots so far and I can't say I'm disappointed yet. I'll have to play online in some real games and then see how I feel.

The way I view the calibration stuff is that it basically acts as a sensitivity setting. As you noted, the aiming speed varies greatly based on how far you move the controller while calibrating. If you just move a tiny bit, the cursor becomes very sensitive.Thrakier said:Just finished #1 with 29/16 with move. The pinpoint precision you got for long distances is far and above everything DSII can achieve. You just have to lern to move effective. Move...haha. Whatever. I guess I will stick with move. Need to get the playstaton move sub-controller.
The calibration everytime is annyong though and it's outcome is a bit different every time. It makes a HUGE difference btw how you aim at the targets in the calibration screen. I try to aim "too far" a bit so the cursos is slower and steadier.

I like how smooth the aiming is but moving around feels terrible. It's fucking hard.
It's easier on the DS3 but I prefer the fluidity of the move aiming.
In short, DS3 > Move.
