Killzone: Shadow Fall DLC multiplayer maps will be free

Have we heard anything about co op, objective or otherwise, on this game?

DLC maps will likely be high res Killzone 2 and Killzone 3 maps.
 
All guns unlocked from the start and all DLC maps free? Holy shit. Hopefully this sets a precedent for other games, at least from Sony's first party.
 
I'm going to wait for actual details first.

It's like getting excited over "exclusive content". If they are map packs like Killzone 2/ Killzone 3, however, there is much to be excited about.
 
Well then. They sure know how to make me interested in a series I never really cared for. I guess I'll make this my one retail game, and juggle it with Planet Side 2.

Not a big Killzone fan, but it looks good and, even though I'm not fond of 30fps shooters, I support this strongly, so my first PS4 game has been decided.
 
I'm wondering if the pre-order numbers were impressive enough that they decided they could give away free DLC. Or maybe it was just a nice gesture. Either way its awesome on Sony and GG's part.
 
Pre-ordered and payed in full three days ago.
I was a little optimistic about it, but seeing the MP today and now this announcement ... boner.
 
That's impressive. Killzone isn't my multiplayer game of choice, but hopefully the variety of FREE maps and simply being a new game will hold my interest better.
 
You know, if this is what Sony can give us with the PS+ paywall then I'm not pissed off anymore. I just hope they do the same on other games too.

I'm thinking they don't want the sales to get swallowed up by Call of Duty and Battlefield? Maybe, I'm not sure. This is a nice bonus for anyone on the fence about this game.

Hopefully it does enough to get me interested in the mp.

Sure, kz2 mp was great stuff, but with battlefield 4, not sure ill be investing much time into this title. Still cool its all free
 
Dammmmnn first the mp screens and now this. The game has done 180 for me. Wait, I wouldn't say 180 because I had some mild interest in it before, perhaps a 120.
 
If Sony start doing this for all their MP games I might forgive them for the MP paywall (though I understand their reason for it)
 
Does anyone know if the multiplayer is going to have AI enemies (bots)? If I don't feel like getting shot in the head right on every respawn, it would be nice to be able to enjoy the multiplayer..
 
I was unsure of what games I'd be getting at launch. This is now the first game on my "definite" list. Everyone already knows the graphics will be stellar, and is a great launch showcase game for the new console. But I gotta support this free map pack decision and hope it becomes standard.

The MP screenshots had enemies labelled as bots on the killfeed.
 
Why wouldn't you announce this at the conference??

I already had it preordered but I'm sure this and the MP reveal will sway a lot of people. Game is looking great.
 
If it's confirmed that Shadow Fall will have unlocked FPS in multiplayer I will get a PS4 instead of an Xbone this year.

I must know.

It looks like it's just unlocked, you can tell by the tearing v-sync isn't on. Doesn't look like 60 to me but it seems like it's well above 30. I'm guessing they'll add more post processing, v-sync, and lock it at 30 for launch. It looks like it's varying wildly there, which always gives me headaches. I'd rather take 30 with no drops than that.
 
Free map packs and all guns unlocked from the beginning with a progression system not based on XP. The entire industry should be ashamed.

Not the ENTIRE industry. Valve games exist and have been getting rather nice free updates for quite a while now.

But yeah, most of the industry.
 
So does it have a proper server browser like 2 or matchmaking like 3?
The free DLC is pretty essential since a fragmenting a community with on a low install base console/game would be a disaster.
