Graphically, it looks good, but its obviously target render.

The animations gave it away. That battle against the giant heartless, it's too perfectly choreographed.

Just like the FF XV reveal trailer

I want Nomura to let it go of KH and make his FF game

FF VIIR was awesome. The guy still has it.

But the KH series has too much lore already in order to make something that could be unique out of it

I don't hate you guys, there's no reason for me to. However I'm also not a super-fan of the franchise either. I just like it when people who are capable of crazy creations have their chains removed, because I like seeing weird, out there stuff, like Death Stranding, Bloodborne, and to a lesser extent, Dirge of Cerberus. I think Nomura and Miyazaki could go even further beyond those ideas, but publishers like Namco and Square are probably scared they would lose an audience when doing so.
 
Looks cool, but please add OBMB/increase your object-based motion blur shutter speed, its too short. I paused on some cutscenes and its definitely there and looks nice, but in gameplay those attack animations could be way better looking if it wasn't so stuttery.

Oh cool.

Was exactly where I (and a lot of people, I suppose) thought this was going to go after the secret ending of KH3, so...that's neat, I guess.

We'll see how it fares in 2027 when it comes out.
 
As Genshin Impact becomes the meme of players of it are mostly pedophiles (a meme I don't particularly believe in), KH should be thankful as is not the most embarrassing shit anymore. There has never been a series where the ratio of pure dialogue cringe and good gameplay is so prevalent.

Still this trailer looked liked UE5 assets with KH characters ported in. Impressive only because we have not seen official UE5 games out yet.

Big Hero 6 is a Marvel property, so yes. But seeing that whenever someone refers to Marvel, they mean Ironman, Thor, Hulk, etc, probably people count Big Hero 6 out.

And honestly, I kinda do too, though I do agree that it isn't correct to do so.

JK, I just hope there's less Disney crap in it. That has slowly become the least interesting part of these games.

I had the feeling they were moving away from Disney after they end up in non-Disney worlds. I though and hoped they would use other games as worlds, making it a game of other games.
Imagine going into Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Nier and other worlds instead.

This trailer doesn't confirm, or deny that. As far as we know they could only keep some characters in.

Disney owns KH in its entirety, Square is just a comission/profit sharing developer. They will never scale back on Disney stuff. I have no idea why SE continues making these games, building a brand and advertising vehicle for a competing media company for what is likely a fraction of the proceeds. I had always assumed Square owned it and just gave like 50% of profits to Disney, but no, it's all Disney's.

I guess I more meant establish MCU universe, which to my knowledge so far hasn't included or at least acknowledged Big Hero 6.

So it sounds like they could do Star Wars for 4, and MCU for 5

Still can't let go of the modern setting + KH story of the darkness that Versus XIII had going, huh?even before Versus XIII…. it's like… he's been trying to do this since that one scene in AC with Bahamut acting an ass in town. Let's see how it turns out then.

Off the bat, that UI just isn't going to mesh with the realistic direction the series seems to be heading. It needs to be revamped. It's jarring. Or, at the very least, make it adapt to the world you're in (similar to how every KH2 world changed the aesthetic of the UI). Should've looked similar to FF7RE/FFXV.

I'm not entirely convinced about this being real-time as they've been known to do this sort of thing with say… XIII in 2006. Just saying.

He was making his FF and we were partially robbed of it
 
10 years ago I'd be all over this. Now I couldn't care less. KH3 was so incredibly bad imo and cringe...left a bad taste. The original KH is still one of my favorite games... it was simple and straightforward and nostalgic. I just don't have any faith in what Nomura does anymore.

These are not to be taken too seriously. Think of them as just having a simplistic fun time. Like playing with your kids, if you have any.

Heck I even played Racing with Ryan for some mindless fun.
 
One thing they said a good while back was that it would always remain Sora, Donald and Goofy. Everything else can/will change but the protagonist will always be Sora and his travel partners: Donald and Goofy.

This game was pitched by Nomurw years ago, it might be a Disney owned property but it's Nomura's series.
Also, it sells well and it's, along with final fantasy and dragon quest, the company's main franchise. It's really easy to understand why they do it.

what would be really cool is if they mashed the artstyles so have the human stuff be realistic but then have the cartoons be in full cel shader. though i'm sure they've thought of that too and maybe it's too difficult

Regarding KH4, wasn't Imsomnia supposed to be a lot like japan? especifically it looks a lot like some Shinjuku places when you watch the footage.
As for the mobile game, there is a lot of walking upwards buildings and similar stuff which was showcased a lot during the Versus footage, that's why i make the conections.
If going by KH3 and that bootleg FF15 tralier inside the game, i would asume Nomura has a lot of FFVersus stuff waiting to be pushed into another game, Sora and KH look more like Noctis and Versus by the minute.
