Kings - New NBC Show that is awesome

Fuck! Forgot that it was on :/ Was out with some friends from school. Damn, this is why most tv (except SNL of course) does not work on Saturday nights

I'm on the west coast I'm half way through... but yeah it carries on the awesome so far. This is the only show that can get me to stay home on a Saturday to check it out.
 
Don't read if you haven't seen tonight's episode:

When the king said that all his children were inflicted with the disease, but not David, is that implying that he is somehow related to the king? I hope to god that this isn't going towards an unintentional incestuous relationship. Although, I thought David's parents were already set up and it didn't seem like the king knew of David before he saved the prince

Michelle isn't related to the king either. Don't worry, this isn't going to turn into Oldboy.
 
Amazing episode tonight. A true tragedy that it's not renewed. The acting is so good and the plot just keeps chugging along at a great pace. Every episode I watch I am completely entranced and entertained. Best thing I've seen on NBC. I'll be sad when it's done.
 
I had some salt water taffy wrappers in my hand I was going to throw into the trash during the first commercial break...

...but ended up fast-forwarding through each and kept my hand clutched the entire time :lol

Just caught it on Hulu. Fuck, what an awesome episode. They just keep getting better and better. It always seemed like it would be a better fit with HBO/USA/Showtime. Too awesome for normal networks :D
 
Watching the Pilot, only in the first 7 minutes and it's incredibly well written.

BTW, what's with the quasi Mass Effect references? Shepard? 'Gath'? I know it's a stretch but it's questionable :P
 
this show is awesome. Just now catching last weekends episode "Pilgrimmage." About 20 minutes into it but damn, this is such a sweet show :D

They're biblical references. Kings is a retelling of the story of King David. The Kingdom of Gath was the homeland of the biblical Goliath.

Watched all the eps available, can't believe this show is cancelled. :-(

It's amazing! Wonderful twists, fantastic production, great acting. Definitely the most original program to come out in years.

Is there an online petition yet to save this show? I'd sign!

I'm consistently surprised at how much better the show is getting. Not perfect, but damned interesting and enjoyable.

disappointed as hell with the camera subplot though
 
It's pretty depressing that this show didn't take off. There are a lot of places is could have gone within a few seasons that would have been really cool.
 
Awesome awesome awesome. I saw the preview on my DVR for next weeks episode, too, and that looks to be sweet.

Anyways... yeah. Sweet show.
 
I caught up on the episodes on Hulu. I know that NBC is going to release the show on DVD in September, but I wish they would make a Blu-Ray version for us people who enjoy a well shot show.
 
Thought this episode was turning out weak but it turned around from the scene with David playing the piano, love the way they handle the spiritual element of this show, it's massively over the top but still somehow subtle enough to let you draw your own conclusions.

Best show on TV right now by a wide wide margin, take it the ratings are still shit even though nothing else is on?
 
You know that this show will find a huge audience once it hits Netflix/DVD/Blu-ray. We can always hope that one of the prime networks picks it up (HBO, Showtime, etc)

Fuck NBC for putting their best foot forward...on a SATURDAY.

Damn, great episode this week! How many more do we have to look forward to now? 3 right?
 
Holy SHIT that episode blew me away even more than the last one. I don't know how they can possibly tie all these loose ends up in 2 more episodes... or is it 3 more?

Next episode will be the trial I'm sure, with some Chrono Trigger moments. Then someone will bust him out, I'm guessing it'll be Jack for some reason when he realizes that Silas won't actually announce Jack as his heir after marrying that chick.
 
Fantastic episode! Wow!

The show has really been a bit a of a mixed bag for me (even though I have watched every episode), but this week's episode is by far among the best hour of television I have seen outside of LOST this year. Bravo!

Its a shame NBC really messed this show up.

About to watch episode 9 & wtf? Hulu shows episode 9 as "Chapter 1 Kings Season 1: Episode 9" If this is designated Chapter 1, maybe there will be another season? :D
