Kojima is searching for a studio that will remake MGS1 in Fox Engine

Honestly they just should have gone the MGS1 PC version route and only let you use FPV aiming after you cleared the game once. As was--like you pointed out--it totally broke the game in a lot of situations, boss fights especially (Ocelot...ugh).

Yeah, exactly. And improving the AI isn't going to fix it. That's what Twin Snakes did, adding in attention MGS2-like AI with ability to call in back-up that properly searches the area (like looking under things). I really liked that addition to Twin Snakes, but it didn't change the fact the game was not built for MGS2 mechanics, and no amount of padding could change the fact they broke the game.

MGS was very explicitly designed around a finely tuned set of mechanics. The AI patrols, level design, and boss encounters were built to accommodate the strengths and limitations of how it played.

Simply take the core level design and fluff it with graphics and you'll break the experience, even if it's still fun. MGS4 Shadow Moses was very much that. It was a great nostalgia trip, but a generally shitty level that had to do it's own things to make it interesting. Like filling the base with robots.

At this point it doesn't really matter if they've played them or not. Kojima has retconned so much of those games the specific events don't really matter as much, and even if you did play them you'd probably end up confused as some of the events later games call back to don't actually even happen.

They kinda half heartedly reference them, but do reference them. But yeah, that's why I think they're due for a remake. MGS doesn't need one. MG/MG2 do if they want to be properly integrated into the already murky story.

I enjoyed Twin Snakes fine, but I did miss the music of the original. If they choose to do another remake, go back to the old compositions.

They are also allowed to add Monster Hunter cameos, but no other sort of product placement. That sort of stuff has been weirding me out too much.

Remake needs to have original music and original voice files, dont change anything. You can maybe put some codecs as a part of a hud, to enable us to move Snake while they are playing.

Kojima is the only one who can remake MG 1 and 2.

But he needs outside studios to remake MGS1, MGS2, and MGS3. We need the entire saga in Fox engine on PS4/Xbox On

It's the only way Kojima will ever be free.
