This looks soooooooooo unbelievably terrible. And hilarious.
It should work but I guess for most people that's not really an option in their living rooms (at least it's not for me).thcsquad said:Looking at the camera sideways seems like it'd be weird. I wonder if it would still work okay if you put the camera to the side. You could face the tv and see whats going on without turning your head, but the camera could still get the sideview of your moves.

You expect Natal to just have basic 2D camera-based gameplay, despite access to a 3D depth sensor and skeletal tracking software? That would be a massive waste of it's potential.XxBigP123xX said:Pretty much the same quality I expect from natal titles.
However, this doesn't negate the fact that I'm staring at the TV and punching and kicking the air. Because of the 2D orientation of the game, you'll be facing forward, but moving side to side, which is simply not as intuitive as facing the screen and moving in the same direction.
How many times you tell people this, they will never listen.InaudibleWhispa said:You expect Natal to just have basic 2D camera-based gameplay, despite access to a 3D depth sensor and skeletal tracking software? That would be a massive waste of it's potential.
I feel like it's better to have lower expectations than higher ones. I'm sure they'll unveil some good games for natal at E3.InaudibleWhispa said:You expect Natal to just have basic 2D camera-based gameplay, despite access to a 3D depth sensor and skeletal tracking software? Despite a few shortcomings, Kung-Fu Live is an entertaining diversion. With a PSN-friendly price tag ("under $15," we were told), coupled with some interesting connectivity options (with Facebook and YouTube), it should be a novel addition to the libraries of new PlayStation Eye owners later this year.
Was wondering how long it would take someone to mention this.Gomu Gomu said:Go check Photo Dojo for DSi. It's free.

As some of you may have heard, we announced Kung-Fu Live with a playable sneak preview last week in New York. The reception from journalists, as well as gamers, has totally overwhelmed us! We also found ourselves in the middle of the rising motion gaming discussion as many of the stories call out that our game already does what Natal is trying for: Kung-Fu Live uses full-body skeleton tracking to track the players moves in real-time. Thus, people have been saying that our game and tech using the PlayStation Eye is stealing the thunder from Natal. LOL!
AranhaHunter said:I didn't know the PSEye could do full body skeleton tracking, that's news to me, I thought it only did head tracking.
Kung-Fu LIVE will be published independently by Virtual Air Guitar Company Ltd., and will provide a fast, fun, and action packed experience while ushering in a new era of full-body motion gaming when it launches on PlayStation Network on December 8th 2010, for just £10.99. You can view the latest trailer over at the official Facebook page, and Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with all the latest details on Kung-Fu LIVE.
