Kuroko no Basket 3rd Season OT

OMFG best episode of the season. Akashi is a fucking demon, crushing Kuroko completely. Aomine had a lot more tact, this guy just stomped on him until there was nothing.

Shit this is so good...

God DAMN. This episode is crazy.
Total beatdown
.

Not only did they beat them senselessly, they made sure to match up with every person to show that they're better. Cold blooded.

Jesus Christ Seiren is getting worked from every single angle and being out classed in every department!

Rakuzan got the better muscle, the better misdirection passes, the better "eye", the better shots, the better dribbles, the better cross ups and they even got the better alley-oops?

Next episode looks crazy though...

Kagami going back into DA ZONE and Kuroko going 1 on1 with the new model... looks like shit is about to go down!

lol at the episode name, "A miracle will not happen" just straight up told you what the deal was

Seiren pulling out every trick in the book and just getting countered at every turn.

Here's a dramatization of Rakuzan vs Seiren

AkaFuri was best and Furi actually scored, thank you.

Its still so silly to hear all the names for stuff and that people outside of the team know them. Does no one really think it odd to bring up Right of Postponement, Ankle Break, Heaven, Earth, and Void, etc. Though I guess they were middle and high schools and chuuni love naming attacks so they probably all like it.

-

Does Kuroko really read light novels, I never looked at what he was ever reading before.

To be honest, it wouldn't be the same at all if they didn't named the techniques. Meteor Jam, misdirection overflow, eagle spear... they sound fucking amazing.

I love the names when they're cool, Right of Postponement is just a really lame name for a move, Vice Claw however is amazing.

Nebuya has like the lamest fucking powers

MUSCLE REBOUND
MUSCLE SCREEN OUT
MUSCLE DUNK

Oh so you're a fucking center, got it.

Aomine would win, dude can play with his damn eyes closed! He's a beast.

Nebuya isn't black.

This time, it covered from chapters 239-245. They cut a lot of narrative stuff, and I guess they made Junpei look better by cutting out his hatred of girly men. Unfortunately, they cut out the compliments about Furi and Riko.

Jesus, Akashi puttin work, and literally beating them in every way. Putting doubt in their heads, and making them pay in every single position, extending it to the bench and coach.

Loved to see all the bench guys trying to put work, it shows how much Seirin as a group wants it.

Can't wait to see the next episode tho, Seirin better pull some major shit in order to wreck the 3 kings, the new model, and DA EMPEROR Akashi

Is this season going to finish the manga? Seems like it's pretty close..
Yup. The manga ends with the Rakuzan game. Shame because I would love to have seen that third tournament they mentioned before the Winter Cup.

There is a continuation manga running currently, though. It's
Kagami teaming with the GoM against an American team.
No idea if it's just a gaiden or a full sequel.

It's a gaiden, it's not a full series.

I don't even care if this show isn't realistic. It gets hype as fuck. Looking forward to watching the second season.

If it was a lot more realistic, it wouldn't be as good. The crazy shit that happens is what makes this show so entertaining. Even moreso when the characters sometimes can't believe their eyes lmao.

It's getting exciting.
With Kuroko overriding Mayuzumi and Kagami going back into the zone, Seirin got life again. Of course Akashi would pull out his own Misdirection Overflow.

Akashi still barely breaking a sweat.

At least for the first time in the match... he is FORCED to make a pass. That's something I guess.

Seiren still trailing by a lot despite that slight comeback. They need multiple miracles at this stage...

long way to go.

Also my main man Hyuga is on his 4th foul... Rakuzan with the CHEAP STUFF getting those fouls on him.

Can't rely on his clutch 3 pointers anymore... until probably the end I guess.

And Kagami in the da zone still hasn't done anything absurd yet... all he has done is contained the lead and not let it get too large.

I don't know who said it in the series but they basically said that what makes Emperor's Eye strong is not that you can just somewhat see into the future and predict player movements...

But that Akashi was the one who has that ability and the person who is most capable of pushing that power to its limit. Even without the eye he has a ridiculous sense of long term strategy, can read people like a book, has godlike spatial awareness, fast adaptability, ruthless efficient decision making etc. He was trained as a child to be a leader and that is personified in his innate ability. Remember that Akashi was a Generation of Miracle BEFORE even developing the Eye.

Like Combofiend once said talking about Daigo using Yun in AE... Akashi is the best player, with the best mentality with the best ability suited to his strength and vice versa.

Truly the final boss of the series.

I think Akashi's use of Mayuzumi is going to backfire. Never underestimate the will to self-destroy oneself when you break a man's pride.

Akashi is such a piece of shit, but he gets it done. Hyping Mayuzumi after he had a bad stretch, just so he's an useless body that distracts the opponents after the timeout. At least sub him out or something.

Kagami going DEEP in that ZONE pretty much giving space for Akashi to shoot that three and basically saying "You won't..."

Also, highlight of the episode IMO was Kuroko showing that there's only one sixth man...

#TeamAomine
Truly GoM

If there's anyone who could counter Emperor Eye it would be Aomine, his whole thing is that he's unpredictable to go along with his super speed.

There's no way to know for show but I don't think regular Aomine can beat Akashi, ZONE Aomine might end up something like Rock Lee vs Sasuke though.

This is why Akashi is the GOAT.

He can use a shit player and maximize value out of him.

Aomine was still the first GoM to blossom and he stopped training right when he did. Unlike Akashi, Kuroko, Miya, and Kise(Once he got beat). Who've been training. He still has yet to find an opponent who could keep up with him.

The other bit would be if Akashi could break him or not. Aomine responds to stronger opponents by getting more fierce.

Ugh if Rakuzan loses this will be some mighty bad writing. I was getting so agitated during this match when Kuroko, randomly causes Mayuzumi and others to fall apart. Akashi seemed to vanish from the court which was weird too. Does he have no defensive capabilities or something?

Akashi disappeared in the same way Kuroko does.

Practice mode Aomine might be Batman Prep time tier but until that is seen, Akashi is still the best.

Akashi is still only one person on a team. He can't guard everyone on the team.... if he's guarding Kagami then he can't also guard Kuroko. He doesn't have the big body of Murasakibara or the speed of Aomine.

I will be the first to admit that this show pulls some straight up bull shit but the way they handled Kuroko's resurgence and overriding the other guy actually made sense (because of the difference in ego that allowed those two to.play that support role on the team). Rakuzan team began dominating because of their 5th man but when that momentum was taken away by Kuruko it was like playing 4v5 and that somewhat demoralizes the team.

The one not affected by this shift in momentum was of course Akashi and being the team captain he held the team together and minimized the damage from this resurgence. There's still a 15 point difference between the two in the 3rd quarter, a comfortable lead. And after Mayazumi was broken, Akashi used his ruthless efficiency to turn a disadvantage into an advantage.

Gosh...... They could make such and amazing basketball game. Have a special bar to activate moves and when it's empty it's just really fast arcade bball. Almost like megaman soccer SNES except not limited to two special moves per match.

Aww shiiet...

The Lightning dribble has been tamed and the "Void" shots figured out. Even though the lead is around 20 points, Seiren has downloaded the Uncrowned Kings...

Akashi still beating Kagami's Zone. Next episode it looks like Seiren will finally start to close the gap more so.

Akashi faces after his teammates mess up are litrally screaming "baka why am I playing with these people"

Hayama is still my favorite Rakuzan, especially with the visuals they give him.

Koga got good time too love his reflexes and getting through the void from heaven and earth.

Praying the writing stays strong and Rakuzan wins this, though theyll probably make the off limits zone for kagami span the whole court :/

Yea boi that's how it should be!

Kagami needs to sink deeper into the Zone well (or whatever the metaphor is) if Seiren has any chance of winning this.

Akashi looked like he was about to choke a bitch halfway through. Speaking of him, I noticed he's not getting as much screentime in this game as the other GoM members in their games. Akashi also had a bigger focus in the Shutoku game...I'm not seeing enough anklebreaks. I guess the writer figured giving him the ball all the time would be too OP :P

Mayuzumi also disappeared this episode.

Mayazumi was made irrelevant last episode. He's just a body on the court now... the one time they tried to pass to him Kuroko intercepted the pass.

Akashi doesn't use the ball most of the time because he's a supportive player. I am pretty sure he knows that if he hogged the ball all the time he would run low on stamina and his gimmicks would get figured out earlier. Like that is basically what is happening to the other players on his teams... their gimmicks are getting figured out and Akashi is running out of people to pass the ball to. He's playing the long game here.

Plus Kagami is in the zone and has forced Akashi to just take long ranged shots rather than going for the cross ups.

Also my boy Hyuuga going to come in and start dropping the clutch 3s against the pretty boy.
