Lady Gaga bullies Katy Perry on Twitter

Gaga is just salty that she's irrelevant. I still remember her trying to manipulate the Billboard charts through her massive Twitter following.

Should celebrities never speak their mind because of the mobs?

If Katy Perry posted "Lady Gaga's RV smells like Lays Chips, aka wet farts #winning" I would not view that as genuine bullying. Genuine bullying does a lot of things, celebrities shit talking each other isn't bullying. Mobs going insane over twitter comments isn't planned bullying. What would bullying even be in the music industry? Lost sales? A tainted self image for long periods of time?

Doctors are saying Keri Hilson has stabilized but is still in critical condition after the surprise release of Beyonce's fifth studio album.

"It was really touch and go in the first few hours after the release" Marvin Combs, Head Surgeon at FD Medical Center informed us. "I've never seen scalp injuries from a wig snatching this bad. Honestly, she's lucky to be alive."

A close friend said Hilson began complaining of a headache on Thursday night shortly after they finished watching Scandal. " I didn't think anything of it" the friend said "She usually gets headaches after watching things that require you to think. I knew something was wrong when I saw her check her twitter feed and her scalp started to bleed."

The friend said she then went to the bathroom to get a pain killer for Hilson, and when she returned Keri on the floor wigless.

"It was just gone. There was so much blood, I did what I could to stop the bleeding but it was more than I could handle. I called 911 and she's been in the hospital every since."

Doctors say they attempted an emergency wig replacement but were refused by Hilson who wouldn't sign the consent forms. "She just kept saying SHE is just going to rip it off again" Dr. Combs remembered. "After reviewing her chart, and the billboard charts, I saw this wasn't the first time her wig had been snatched so we obliged her wishes and left her bald."

Hospital officials say they are confident Hilson will make a full recovery, just not a comeback.

Care to explain how a PopGaffer exercising the right granted to them by their user privileges to post a thread in OT about a pop celebrity, on a subject relevant to Pop culture, that adheres to the TOS, should warrant this type of reaction (which is borderline bullying in itself)?

I find this especially odd on a forum where threads about serial poopers, threads basically dedicated to girls in knee-high socks, a thread about someone's smelly office chair, and a thread about a guy who might end up in a threesome (but won't), are commonplace and viewed as acceptable.

Mind you, I don't have a problem with any of these threads. I just don't see how PopGAF threads are any worse, and deserving of what basically amounts to thread-shitting for no other reason than being created by known PopGaffers.

Pop stars can speak their minds, but they adhere to the same cautions that any celebrity or person with considerable sway over public opinion have to.

In this case, Gaga is incredibly active on Twitter (she had the most followers for a few years). Not only that, she's been incredibly outspoken on bullying. Considering this, it's hard to believe that Gaga wouldn't know what these kinds of shit-talking tweets would do, and they seem to go against everything she says she's about ("Stop the drama. Start the music.")
 
While I agree this is not bullying and Kate is unlikely to lose any sleep over this, anyone who sees this as a friendly jab doesn't know Gaga. A while ago, Kelly Osbourne made some innocuous comment about Gaga and as a result was relentlessly attacked, stalked and harrassed by her fans. Sharon O tried to contact Gaga privately and ask her to urge her fans to give it a rest. Gaga ignored her, so she made a public appeal. Gaga finally issued a letter where she not only refused to tell her fans to back off, she thouroughly trashed Kelly so her fans would become even moe incensed. She also did something similar to Perez Hilton. Don't be fooled by her anti-bullying discourse, she knows what she's doing.

I don't know how much the rest of you know about Twitter culture (I'm an expert), but keeping your followers in check is a huge part of it. It's not like it is on Facebook where you can get likes by being an asshole. If insult a celebrity via Tweet, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.

What this means is Katy Perry's followers, after hearing about this, is not going to want to listen to any of Lady Gaga's albums, nor will they purchase any of her singles on iTunes. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Lady Gaga has alienated an entire market with this Tweet.

Lady Gaga, publicly apologize and delete this Tweet or you can kiss your career goodbye.

What? She and Kelly and Sharon reunited and mended fences last year. We won't talk about Perez, he stalks and harasses celebrities for fun. Look at poor Ariana Grande.

This post never gets old to me. It's amazing in it's ability to apply to almost any rabid, over sensitive fan base.

This is a non issue, a passive aggressive jab at another millionaire celebrity.

The definition of first world problems.

True bullying is what Katy Perry does to my ear canals every time she opens her plain looking mouth to squeeze out an off-key weak-sounding autotuned mess of a song.

Its hard to say what Gaga personally would consider or define bullying as a whole, along with the question of if she was being genuine about anti-bullying in general. The comment itself is knocking style and performance rather than outright being mean spirited about Katy's body or career.

I'm more disappointed in Gaga for making me wait all that time for a new album and then tricking me with Applause into thinking it'd be good only to have it suck so bad and disappoint me so hard that I literally can't even listen to her old music anymore. I've never had that happen before, I hate all of Huey Lewis' new stuff but I still love all his old work, but I just get pissed off now when any Gaga song comes on. I can't believe it.
