I'm sure there will be. ;) Rather cleverly, apparently someone in Interscope confirmed a DVD with bonuses is coming too. Not sure how official it is though, he mentioned it through Twitter very briefly.

Which means I want a fucking bluray

I didn't care much for the video as a whole, but I saw what she was doing with it and I really dug that even if I didn't like the overall execution.
A lot of the dancing was awesome, and I enjoyed any scene that had the more elaborate costumes.

The one thing that really brought it down was I couldn't stand the guy they had playing Jesus.
 
Thought it was great. She looks great in the video and it's not annoyingly pretentious or long.

Also, is the sleepwalking part of her act or is she just REALLY worn out? I watched this and the Ellen performance and she's like in a coma. Time to take some time off.

The Monster Ball is about to start. I'm watching it on a shitty standard def stream with some noise and small scan-lines, but it's something.

I didn't even realize that the Judas video was out already. Just watched it and loved it.
The choreography during was pretty badass and Gaga was looking good. I debate every now and then whether I'd smang it, but she was banging in this.

I really didn't like this video. And I didn't really like the Born This Way video either. She used to be self-aware before, her videos were sort of cheesy but also tongue-in-cheek. Now they just seem overly-ambitious.

Watching all those corny HBO concert confessional videos of her backstage and in the limo....I'm disappointed. I used to think her persona was a brilliantly contrived act calculated to confound, befuddle, and garner attention. I think at some point though she started buying into her own bullshit, and is now so surrounded by yes-men that she won't ever come out of it.

That picture's amazing though. Edge of Glory and Marry The Night have gotten the most positive buzz from the people behind the scenes who've heard the whole album so we can expect some major win tomorrow.

I will say that Judas has REALLY grown on me after the video came out. I mean, I loved it since it came out but it wasn't in the same league as Born This Way was to me, but the video has made me listen to it more often. The production is probably the best from anything she's done.

Kinda how I feel too. I like her new songs but her sense of humour that I always found entertaining is missing.
 
My love affair with Judas was really short lived. I don't dislike the song now, but I'm bored with it. It's still a good song though, and now that I don't play it anymore, it's bound to get some appeal again in the future. But right now I want a new Gaga song damned! Oh wait, even better, just release the album already!

I also had the displeasure of hearing BTW again today. I'm always surprised that the song is even worse than I can remember. There's just so much fucking noise and distortion. As if you're listening to a really low quality cell phone recording of the song. The electric guitar (or whateverthehell that background noise is supposed to be), just sounds like what happens to music when you convert it to a 32kbps track. Fucking yuk! This song has a similar effect on me as a heavy metal song. I don't hear the "music" in it, and if I'm subjected long enough to it, I get irritated. :) Sorry for that bit of hating.

I wasn't making a judgement on Heavy Metal though. Music is entirely subjective, so I could never say that 'this' or 'that' genre objectively sucks balls. However, everyone has his/her personal taste, and for me anything that gets too heavy on electric guitars starts to sound like the noise you hear when you're changing between 2 radio channels. And that's exactly what BTW sounds like: you hear the song, but obviously your radio isn't set to the right FM frequency because there's lots of noise. Except with BTW, it is...

Hehe. :)

But there's always exceptions to the rule. I'm particularly fond of Sometimes from My Bloody Valentine, which I guess is both rock and noise. However, most of the times if I like a song from a genre that's normally not really my thing, the people who love that genre turn out to hate that particular song. Haha. So I wouldn't be surprised if you were like "well, Sometimes is OK I guess, but it's a bit poppy. If you want to listen to noise, you should listen to this!!". Finding common ground in music genres can be hard sometimes.



Fake edit 1: Although I do always wonder if I'd like Sometimes more if there wasn't so much distortion/noise. I think there's an even better song hidden under it. :P

Fake edit 2: the world really wants me to listen to BTW, doesn't it... I'm starting to think the songs chart position is solely due to the forced VEVO views. :P
