I'd prefer a less fantastical looking take on WWI than this but it still looks good. The zeppelin's perceived importance in European history is vastly overestimated. I feel like people want a steampunk battlefield more than an accurate one (which is fine).
Sorry for the ignorance, but were parachutes used in WW1?
Wait. There was another World War, before World War 2?
Dude you're not going to shoot down that plane with a handgun; Stop trying to show off.

“It is the opinion of the board that the presence of such an apparatus might impair the fighting spirit of pilots and cause them to abandon machines which might otherwise be capable of returning to base for repair”
You just have to Battlefield hard enough.Dude you're not going to shoot down that plane with a handgun; Stop trying to show off.

As DoublePayje said, before they started mounting weapons onto the planes itself, pilots would engage each other trying to shoot one another with pistols. Bombing runs were done throwing regular hand grenades out of the cockpits.
Also, this is Battlefield, in BF1942 you would have people riding on the wings of bombers sniping pilots in fighter crafts with rifles.
What are you talking about? The very first aircraft dogfights were done with pistols and hand grenades before they invented airplane-mounted guns.
Really nice art!
Makes me a little sad that Killzone moved away from the WW2-inspired space opera style for more traditional sci-fi-ish.

Can anyone find a bigger version of this?
At first I thought he was giving a "Fuck yeah!" thumbs-up, but then I realizedhe's probably supposed to be operating the bolt action to remove a spent cartridge case
