So I'm looking for a new monitor, but I realized that all new monitors are all LED.
I know burn is a permanent issue with LED screens. Also not covered by warranty.

So I was wondering, I browse the net a lot, the bookmark bar from chrome is static.
Will this cause burn in? Or the start bar? I don't have it on auto hide, will that burn in?

Also I use the PC like 4-8 a day.

I know for at least some IPS monitors image retention of up to a few hours is an issue (one of the popular Korean monitors had this little-reported issue, while other models were fine). Best to read up on reviews and in forums to check, although it doesn't seem to be a common problem.

"LED monitors" are just LCDs that use an LED for backlighting instead of a CCFL. Burn-in is not really an issue, not anymore than it is on any other LCD display.

Both LCD based backlight technologies (Fluorescent/LED) do not have risk of burn in.

CRT and Plasma technologies are the displays at risk for such.

It's not an issue.

Those Samsung "LED TV" aren't using LED-pixels. They are just TFT-LCD Displays with a backlight made out of white LEDs.
Calling them "LED-TV" is just a marketing trick.
Besides some problems with some type of TFT backplanes like IGZO , they don't suffer from burn-in.

"Real LED", where each pixel emits their own light (i.e emissive) like OLED TVs or large signage TVs do suffer from burn in, however.
