I think the point-blank charges only fail if you use them immediately after spawning. Its sort of there to give survivors a heads up on the presence of a charger, similar to how you can't boom immediately after spawning.Stallion Free said:-The charger inconsistently runs into invisible walls on point black charges
Nope, there are plenty of times when you can do a point blank charge immediately after spawning and there are tons and tons of time that a charger has spawned in well before a charge only to hit an invisible wall because he was too close when be began. It's terrible and inconsistent.RustyNails said:I think the point-blank charges only fail if you use them immediately after spawning. Was wishing they would gift you the other after you pay for one of them.xero273 said:http://www.l4d.com/blog/post.php?id=4397
From the l4d blog. Sounds like you have to pay dlc for both l4d and l4d2.

Supreme Sacrifice: Complete "The Sacrifice".
Chaos Generator: Have all 3 generators running at once in "The Sacrifice" finale.
Barrel Rolled: Kill a Special Infected with an exploding barrel.
Kill Bill: Have Bill sacrifice himself for the team.
Sacrifizzle: As a Special Infected, incap someone who is trying to sacrifice themselves.
Yeah, they really should just call this "Left 4 Dead 3."dark_inferno said:Barrels? Something new?
Eh, more like when your ammo is out, you can use your empty gun as a melee weapon. But thank you for the tip, smarty!Jenga said:it's called shoving

Dechaios said:How did you guys feel about The Passing? I'm wondering if this campaign will be much better stand-alone than it or maybe just "complete it" in a way.
Dechaios said:In the game any character can sacrifice themselves... in true canon, Bill is the sacrifice.

L4D2 feels like L4D1, plays like L4D1. Only improvement : Melee weapons.
The rest is bullshit. Annoying characters, shitty level design, useless SI (camper free game now? LOL spitter comes... just go 2 feet away and everything is fine, charger? just shoot on him with your friends and everything is fine), weapons are nearly the same (wow this gun has burst fire and it has 40 bullets... awesome... not) etc etc etc
You know what's hilarious. The characters of both titles seem more memorable than anything I played in the last 2 years. Assassin's Creed, Uncharted, Gears, etc...sflufan said:People actually give a damn about ANY of the L4D characters? :lol
The TF2 characters have more personality!
But from narrative standpoint, only Bill sacrificing would make senseKilgoreTrout said:Ah, thanks for the clarification. I was gonna say every infected in versus would just go after Bill in the finale.
No, not on 360, but you can play with PC gamers.Battersea Power Station said:Hey, I'm thinking of getting this game for Steam OS X. Does it allow inter-platform multiplayer, i.e. can I play with friends on Xbox 360?
