"Left 4 Dead 3" is found on Steam (yet another leak?)

Yup you are the only one, you special snowflake.

Feels like it limited L4D by being forced to have an overt narrative. I'd prefer the subtle ones that have a story limited within the map instead of having an overarching plot that is pretty much just another outrage/virus story.

I didn't like the New Orleans setting for L4D2. Day stages were fine but lacked atmosphere.

I want an L4D sandbox game where you were just given corordinates and had to make your own way around without being funneled through conveniently placed holes in walls. Oh and destructable environments.

I remember how they hyped up L4D2 with "multiple paths!" yet the only place that exhibited it was the final map, specifically the demo area, and the graveyard lol

Dear gaben, if you are reading this please release HL3

I'm not joking, its been 6 years since EP2

We have nothing, just tears, cheeto powder and hats

Where do they go from here?. Melee weapons were a big change, as were the new infected? But what else could they add. I really would like to know instead of having just more stuff such as levels, weapons, characters, etc. And if that's all they do, why not make just make more DLC?

I couldn't give a flying fuck if ep 3 ever comes out

EDIT: GIF didn't work. Response to author: Well that's just mean, man.

Okay, but seriously, I hope it's an Orange Box like package so everyone is happy and full fill that E3 Gabe 4chan image.

I never really got into L4D 1 or 2. I'm not sure what it is, Killing Floor always seemed more fun to me

Killing Floor and L4D arent the same type of game though. Survivor mode is like a worse version of KF, but Versus and Campaign arent comparable.

Any more. Hopefully they do something with the HL franchise but at this point the Episode 3 ship has long since sailed

Well it has sure sailed. Almost 7 years of waiting for a freaking episode? Hell no, I want a full fledged Half Life 3.

At the end of the L4D3 trailer, theres a first person view and the camera goes down, down, down until its two feet off the ground. A bark is heard
"Yes in this game you can play as a dog"

Werewolves. Add Werewolves. Throw in a headcrab zombie or two, throw us for a loop.

How about SI Vamps. Suck his neck long enough and you can turn him. And by turn him, I mean you get to take control of their body and start shooting the other survivors until they put you down.

That sounds like a cool new game mode to play. I really enjoyed scavenge mode on the sequel.

As for the base/main characters:

Bill, Zoe, Coach, and Ellis should be united after barely surviving attacks that took out the other members of each group. Location of the campaigns? Florida. One of the campaigns should take place in a very big Disney World type of area.

Isn't Bill dead?

I haven't been keeping up with updated/new campaigns that have been released. If he is dead than add in a new character, or have Louis take his place.

EDIT: Apparently he straight up dies in Left 4 Dead 1? I forgot most of the details in the series.

He dies in one of the DLC campaigns.

Pretty excited about this, I am a huge L4D2 fan and the boys and I have been chomping at the bit for some new zombie slaying in that vein. Plus yeah, I imagine Valve is cranking something else out there since they currently don't have any announced games that we're aware they're working on beyond Dota 2. They've begun to give up on TF2 after all these years and let the community handle it.

Technically, any one of the four original survivors can die in that campaign, but Bill is the canon casualty. His death was featured in one of the promotional comics.

People need to understand that the new special infected were necessary to fix the camping problem.

I was fine with the new special infected, I just felt like the new special infected got the spot light. On an average campaign, it felt like I would see a lot of new special infected and very few smokers, hunters and boomers.

Here's my bet:

F2P with a character creator where you pay for aesthetic items plus voice/personality. There'll also be a leveling/class system of some kind.

It's been known that Half-Life 2: Episode 3 / HL3 is in development ever since they announced it (they never did announce that it was HL3 but they did hint that the episodic model isn't working for them). They don't want more hype until they have something to show. More hype and speculation only makes it harder for them to put out a product that meets the hype (hint: it never will).

Plus iirc Garry said they started doing the episodes because making a full HL3 would take so damn long that he would probably be dead lol.

Gotta wonder how they would even do a TF3.

Since the TF2 characters have pretty much become Valve's mascot characters I don't think they would abandon them in favor of new versions of the 9 classes. Maybe set the game 10 years after TF2 with older versions of the characters.

Feels pretty even to me. There's 4 special infected at a time so you're guaranteed to pretty much always have at least one of the old and the new.

Yeah, that makes the most sense to me if they are actually working on a l4d3. I want hl3 so bad but a new l4d with source 2 would be awesome too. Plus valve is making mad cash off of dota2 and tf2's f2p models so it makes sense.
