Don't forget FFEX. I think they are waiting for the inevitable expansion in Japan, lol.
The game looks like it has potential. Has anyone played the Japanese version of the game?
I think SE isn't interested in localizing their handheld games.
Published by Furyu. Developed by ex-Square staff. That said, I didn't end up liking it nearly as much as I wanted to. Masashi Hamauzu's soundtrack is fantastic, though.
That's what smart people would do, don't forget we're talking about Square Enix hereThat too, but maybe they will try to chase the MH4U audience.
Well, at least one of the two "saga" games is getting localized =P
Anyway, the game seems fun but I heard pretty much nothing after it came out =X

Details? The people I've spoken to seem pretty happy with it--not blown away, but they expected diet SaGa and they got it.
Great news. I was wondering who would have gotten it first between Atlus and XSEED.
My problem with the game is the game flow. It comes down to exploring big boxy maps, filling them in, then returning the map to the king, repeat repeat repeat. There's not much else to the game. I didn't find the fields to be very interesting to explore to begin with, and battles take a lot longer than I'd like. It's certainly SaGa inspired when it comes to combat and character growth, but the stuff around it wasn't interesting to me. With a better game loop, or a more interesting combat hook, I might have felt differently. Hell, even if the battles were a little faster, I might have felt differently.
My thoughts exactly on this game. I enjoyed it for the first hour or two, but after playing 5 hours and realising there was nothing more to the game, I just dropped it because I no longer had any desire to do the "repeat repeat repeat" you mention. If there was a deeper, more interesting story to occasionally interrupt the repetition, I'd probably have enjoyed it more.

To be fair, a lot of SaGa "stories" are just randomly-presented chunks of nothing, framed as a "branching narrative" or whatever, so it sounds like business as usual with LoL.
That usually goes without sayingMasashi Hamauzu's soundtrack is fantastic, though.
I think the other 3DS game he mentioned is Langrisser Revival, that fits the bill to a tee.
Thats not to say were not looking beyond not-not just Aquaplus and Spike Chun, and everything. I hope we see a lot more Japanese games come over here. Actually, we did announce The Legend of Legacy is coming over here, and we have another one in the can, too, that I cant talk about yet, ha ha ha ha. But another really niche Japanese game that actually isnt even out yetwere bringing it over for the 3DS later this year. What could it be?

John lets LoL slip with this:
I listened to the entire interview and he never mentions Stella Glow. He most likely got the two mixed up.
Yeah, why would he be so secretive about Stella Glow.
I could understand if he just mixed up the names, but that description wouldn't quite match up to this.
sheeeeit, man.
I'd have to check, but is this possibly the busiest year ever for Atlus? They are importing an awful lot of product these days.
