The problem with SM x WW is the writers that usually write them are subpar. WW and BM got popular cause Bruce Timm had the biggest hardon for Batman and made them the couple in Batman and friends... oh sorry I meant Justice League.
Also people like the angle of alien that has a human lover because it gives them humanity or some shit. Its not like the parents that raised him has more influence or something or his personality and sense of duty.
WW's job is basically being the diplomat from the Amazon to Man's world so yeah she has to be lol.
Fairy Tail basically confirmed end games pairings in a cover page recently, I think any outrage will be even more stupid than Naruto.
Haven't seen the cover, but the only thing I can think of regarding people who will likely be upset is those that wanted Natsu and Lisanna to be together. It's like their version of Naruto and Hinata now that I think about it lol
All the other shippings are rather obvious, so fans would be deluding themselves to think otherwise. The only thing that can stop it is if he either blueballs everyone, or kills off a character. And we sure as hell know the latter ain't happening...

This was a fun thread to read. Good memories. I was ecstatic when NaruHina became canon. It was the only way I could see that ending.
The reactions to Korrasami where amazing too. I was completely blindsided when it happened though. In retrospect, I was an idiot in not seeing the hints earlier but I'm super glad it became a thing. I think one of new comics actually shows them kissing for whatever idiots think they are still "just friends."
If you want to read something funny and a little scary the wiki for iCarly ships is so incredibly detailed that it makes me uncomfortable

Currently the only ship I care about is KilluGon. Nobody can convince me that those two boys aren't meant to be together barring major happenings in future chapters. But it's in hiatus limbo with the next arc focusing on other characters so if it's not sunk it's sailing.

The Mira and laxus picture caused a mini meltdown already. And there are a lot of people who will hate nalu and gruvia happening. I would not be surprised if there's some outrage

Most of the Fairy Tail pairings just make no sense, aside from Bisca/Alzac, Elfman/Wintergreen and Grey/Juvia. Natsu and Lucy work way better together as friends, and what the hell even is Laxus/Mirajane? First i've heard of it and it's just boggling.

Gajeel/Levy has far more actual development than every other ship in the series. It also actually exists in canon unlike all those other cover ships.
Gray hasn't acted interested in Juvia at all. Even Erza/Gerard has way more meat to than that one.

Everyone I know who is still invested in digimon have moved on from Matt sora tai drama and are all about TK and Kairi. I've never felt the need of romance between characters in every show.
Gray has definitely shown some interest, just hasn't been like horny about it. It's Juvia though, so he playing himself.

The only reason The Last was made was because SP brought up the idea. They have an urge to make sure Naruto is the attention of the girls around him, you'll notice this in the filler movies and filler arcs.
They also have an agenda against giving Sasuke spotlight, apart from the canon they have to adapt. Funnily enough, the best animators seem to love Sasuke.
Also I rather not have their writers ruin things even more, like retconning prior interactions, dumbing characters down (Naruto thinks love is like loving ramen) or coming up with ideas like we'll make the MC realise his love through genjutsu.
Naruto movies shouldn't be about such things. Boruto the movie shows how it should be: action, nostalgia (as its the last movie) and character developments. No surprise Boruto sold 2x The Last with positive fan reception all around.

Sanji death nose bleeds were treated as gag, not romance.
TK and Kairi feel like a natural transition while everything else is just pandering. They're not retconning the end of 02, so that's that.

I mean, that's not romance tho, just a gag. Oda focuses on familial love, and rarely ever romantic love. At best you have Hancock, which is another running gag. There's one other possible example this arc, but uh, we'll see how that goes. I rather have him stick to his strengths than end up with the stuff Naruto tried to pull.
Also if you need a movie/arc after Naruto has ended in order to get people more into the idea of Sakura/Sasuke, then that kind of says it all.

Nisekoi ended like everyone expected after a certain point.
You don't have to be a shipping person to feel cheated about the whole premise of the show leading to a character that is discarded in like 5 minutes so Ted can go back with Robin.
