I'm so upset with rihanna... she could do better. I remember reading a headline where she admitted that leo was the best she ever had... that shit broke my heart.

If this minx gets hitched to this guy... Leo is a god among men, and i'm just gonna have to live with that.
 
So we should be upset that somehow, one of the two members of the happy couple is not "in the same level" as the other in terms of prestige / money / fame / whatsoever? What a weird, yet pretty telling controversy to have. Both are famous and beautiful, so congratulations to both of them, they seem like a very interesting pair.

If it becomes serious, then they would easily rival Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie or Jay Z and Beyonce for craziest power couple.
 
leonardo's movies kind of reach a global audience . i don't think there is anybody in the world who would not have seen titanic. but rihana is like one aspect of american pop music. and even in that music loving scene there is divisions.

i love how people keep trying to make american hip hop music the music that ends all simply because it is so ingrained into their own persona . for them the fact that american hip hop music is just a percentage in the entire world scene of music (kpop,indian music , various other ethnicites , euro house etc. ) this fact will never penetrate their brains. they have to live in their own world, can't stomach the fact that people just don't care.

hell i bet there are people in the world that don't even know english who know titanic.
the one seen where leonardo is holding rose on the bow of the ship will itself be more famous than knowledge of oscars alone . so i have no idea how these people think rihana is more famous than leonardo

Except Rihanna has sold out her tours all over the world and not just the US.

Nobody is actually claiming Rihanna is more known than Leo, at least not in any serious capacity.

does it matter ? what classification her music is? . i don't know enough about the sub genres to differentiate american pop music; nor do i care to know .its not i have feelings about the different genres of american pop music one way or another .

yea i am saying that doesn't mean anything in terms of numbers game of how much people would actually recognize the name of rihanna. there are always going to be a subset of people in all the world who subscribe to a specific genre of music but that is nowhere near the number of people in all age groups who would actually watch hollywood movies or . i don't understand where people get this music industry is so much more well known than hollywood industry idea.

yea i know its pop music . but i find it curious that it even came up , the clarification of why i classified her what type of music she sings as an artist because shes black. i mean if the conversation was about britney spears or christina aguilera , jennifer lopez i would have classified it as the same "hip hop".

no it doesn't matter because my point was all about the how popular one person was to the other . and my point revolved around the penetrance of american pop music around the world not america as opposed to hollywood movies . hence the argument about what genre of music rihana sings doens't matter. it might matter to you but it doesn't change the point.

it would be like me adding that a specific actor is well known for his movies within the genre of romance as opposed to horror . does it change the point of how well know the actor is ?
