What is the "pink" in pink lemonade supposed to be? Is it grapefruit?

I wondered that myself. Apparently there are several answers though I'm not sure if all of them are true. The pink can come from adding either grenadine, grapefruit juice, cranberry juice, red food coloring, etc. I'm not sure what the most common additive is used to make it pink, but I prefer straight unadulterated yellow lemonade (lemon-lime is a nice alternative admittedly).

Probably pink, as that's what I usually get at In-N-Out, but I love berry-infused lemonaded more so than regular lemonade.
