Lets see your Game of the show

*sigh* If only Bethesda had shown Fallout 3 out in the open instead of behind their closed booth doors. They played nearly an hour's worth of the game from the very beginning live in front of everyone.

You guys are going to shit yourselves with glee and amazement once the footage that I saw is available to the public.

Ill be honest...

Wii-Fit is the definite 'game of the show'

No one expected it, no one expected it to be Miyamoto's project, and certainly no one expected it to close the Nintendo summary...

EVERYONE on the internet knows about Wii-Fit ... it seems it might have been some dirty marketing trick to unleash that beast, the 'hating' seems to spread its name (reminds anyone of a name change?)

Yeah people are cheap and easy like that.

The **** is this? I mean, seriously, Wii Fitness has been known about since last E3, it was well-expected that Miyamoto had involvement in the game, and the only thing somewhat surprising is that it closed the Nintendo conference... Again: it's been expected. A large number of people here knew it was coming, so the only thing you can claim here is ignorance and the change from Wii Fitness to Wii Fit. Ta.

Mass Effect, followed closely by Killzone, probably. I'm sure halo 3 would be up there if they showed the gameplay footage that they demoed to the press.

Man, I hope you're right. But because they didn't show, for now I'm gonna go with Mass Effect.

It's a shame that Nintendo fans have only 1 game to choose from anyway.

I'm actually more excited for the ones not getting any love:

- Burnout
- Mercs 2
- Turok

Super Mario Galaxy EASILY

What the game is doing on the platform it is on, is amazing.

Bravo Nintendo.

MP3 is second for me, for the controls alone.......Funny how Halo3 isn't getting much love???

Super Mario Galaxy for me.

It is so far beyond every other Wii game graphically and it seems like a ton of fun to play. Maybe its nostalgia, but it looks like the type of game you could have fun just running around in. It had a Super Mario 64 kinda vibe to me.

I haven't seen the Mass Effect demonstration yet, I'm gonna have to check that out now.

Super Mario Galaxy

^Love that shot.:D

Followed very closely by Mass Effect.

I think I'll go with Super Mario Galaxy when all things considered.

Very notable runner-ups are Wii Fit and Little Big Planet; both of them more fresh and "new" than SMG but still unproven in terms of fun. Both of them with potential to be generation defining for me, and both of them clearly more "next-gen" (to me) than anything else we have seen.

Yeah, because clearly every SINGLE person in this thread who chose mario has to be a 'Nintendo fan', not a fan of good videogames. These lame jabs are pathetic, and dont belong on this board. Why cant you just list your own GOTS, and leave it at that? But its fantastic that you're so enthused with Burnout and mercs2. That makes you special.

My game of the show has to be the one that really overwhelmed me with surprises: Little Big Planet

Runner-ups would be Super Mario Galaxy and Metal Gear Solid 4, which would have been number one if there had been some gameplay footage and such. Another honourable mention goes to R&C:Tools Of Destruction, which was one of the best looking games in e3 with its full scale of colours and great action.

See??? Nobody gives Zelda any respect. :(
Phantom Hourglass will own your, mine, and everyone that plays its soul for at least 40 hours.

It's not that anyone forgot it, it's just there were bigger and potentially better things there.

Crysis-before I would have said CoD4, but after seeing the videos again I am really getting that been-there-done-that feeling from the game play. Crysis seems to have both the huge visual punch and the sandbox-like FPS innovation/interactivity to really be something unique and special.

Bioshock , for similar reasons, is number two.

I wasn't even planning on buying Mario Galaxy before E3, to me it was the biggest surprise of the show. Other games I was already hyped on (Bioshock, Mass Effect etc.). Runner up to Mario would be Killzone.

So Galaxy.

SUPER MARIO GALAXY

Let's see, at the top of my head I really liked also:
01. Super Mario Strikers Charged
02. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
03. BWii: Batallation Wars II
04. Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles
05. Zack & Wiki
06. Super Smash Bros. Brawl
07. Mario Kart Wii
08. Trauma Center: New Blood
09. Soulcalibur Legends
10. NiGHTs: Journey of Dreams
And like 12 more games, but those are just the "top" ones....and Brawl was just in a short video...I choose Galaxy.

Well, I'm sure Halo 3 is still a hot GOTY contender for many people, it's just hard to call it 'Game of the Show' when they've shown so little of it.
