Lets see your Game of the show

Very had to pick one this time, there were many with awesome production values. Killzone 2 narrowly gets my vote, as it managed to match the ridiculous high expectations. The atmosphere shown in the demo was simply jaw-dropping.

Mass Effect.

I love Sci-Fi, I loved Kotor -- my favorite game of last gen -- and I love Bioware's storytelling ability. Mass Effect looks like it could potentially have the same impact for me this gen.

PGR4 simply because it showed more gameplay then Halo 3.

But i'm sure Halo 3 will be greatness for at least two years.

Mass Effect without a doubt.

Killzone 2 looked great graphically (edging out Gears), but the gameplay, scale, writing, animation, and sheer "epicness" of Mass Effect make it my number one.

I've had a hankerin' for a good western-rpg on the 360, and Mass Erect looks to deliver.

I'm not much of a Mario-fan (no more than any other gamer, I mean) but SMG was so awesome. GOTS written all over it. LBP is kind of a distant second.
Honorable mention: MP3, Zack and Wiki, Wii fit.
I used to be excited about Mass Effect but I guess my interest died down... Looking forward to Dragon Age though.

glad my choice is winning:D

Super Mario Galaxy.

Would have probably guessed Mass Effect prior to E3, but SMG just destroyed EVERYTHING in its path. It'll be the game of the decade in all likelihood.

Rock Band
The combination of amazing announcements and the hilarity of Guitar Hero 3 put this over the top.

Runner-up: Skate
I already knew this game was awesome, but it really impressed me this week. I have stupid high expectations for Skate and it's already surpassing them.

Honorable mention: Call of Duty 3. I don't really care for the series, but this one looks exciting. And pretty.

The lack of MGS4 in this thread is SHOCKING.

A throw-together trailer and no presence on the floor.

Little Big Planet still wins me over somehow, I guess i'm just another adoring fan who can't wait to get his hands on it.

What do we know about Dragon age? Someone else mentioned he was excited and I couldn't remember if anything was announced other than it's a PC title. That's all we know right?

This thread is like a love letter to Bioware. I hope Chris Priestly sees it.

Whatever the case, buy this game bitches and keep the sweet nectar of Sci-Fi gaming goodness flowing to consoles.

Super Mario Galaxy. My opinion went from meh to wow.

Assassin's Creed would be second but that's because I was already looking forward to it. Didn't even see any E3 footage of it.

I've tried to get hyped for Mass Effect but it's just not doing it for me.

I'd have to go with BioShock. After watching the GameSpot interview with Levine I knew that I wanted the game more than anything else shown.

It's hard to pick just one... but my choice is probably Killzone 2... only cause it delivered on a level most people wouldn't dream off.

Followed closely by Ratchet and Clank and Mass Effect.

Killzone 2 since it was it's first showing. The other games LBP, Mass Effect and SMG were known quantites were before and had to some extent won GOTS before.

Again, Killzone 2.

can all you Mario fans explain to me why that game is the best of the show?

I'm no Mario fan but this game's level design just seems fun and challenging. Mario 64 was an awesome game that I still find more fun in than most contemporary stuff. A game that returns to those roots and expands upon it on the level of creativity and challenge is a winner in my book. Artistically, the worlds just seem so vibrant and fresh. If you've seen videos of gameplay and understand why Super Mario 64 was so critically acclaimed and awesome and fun, you really don't need an explanation. The interactivity with the huge worlds and free exploration is something I've been looking for in a modern video game for a very long time. To me, Super Mario Galaxy looks like a dreamworld perfectly executed in a video game.

Of course the game might disappoint me in a major way when I play it in November but from what I've seen, the game deserves game of the show at E3 before anything else.

Howbout no? This thread is about listing your personal GOTS, not justifications for it. That will turn ugly quick. Why cant you just accept it? It just so happens SMG is winning by a large margin, and it seems like you're offended by it.

The whole thing with Bioshock for me depends on exploring. IF there is a VAST area to explore, I'll lose my mind and love the game. But if the game requires lots of backtracking and coming and going back to the same places... ick. The gamespot demo did really increase my interest ten fold.

Mass Effect, Mario and Lost Odyssey look the most interesting to me

I feel like I'm jiping Bioshock, since in all honesty it was the most inspired looking game at the show to me by far, but it's something that seems a lot more fun to play than to watch, unlike the others.

The lack of MGS4 in this thread is SHOCKING.

I'll buy it, and enjoy it for sure but it is way too much MGS2-2 for me. I didn't really like how batshit crazy MGS2 was.

Mario Galaxy I guess?

Wii Fit surprised me, but outside fo that nothing was like "Wow awesome! Game of the show!"

I just pick MG cause I loved it a few months ago when I played it.

Close call between LittleBigPlanet and Galaxy.

I'll go with LBP though because the user created content could turn out to be HUGE.
