Has anyone here tried MX Cherry Nature White switches? From what I've read, they offer more resistance than reds, less than blacks.
have you try the green switches? those are similar clicky feel as blue but more sensitive and perhaps better for double tapping more?
think razer blackwidow chroma uses them.
More sensitive? Aren't they just a stiffer version of the Blues, because designed for the space bar of a keyboard with blues?have you try the green switches? those are similar clicky feel as blue but more sensitive and perhaps better for double tapping more?
Sorry, I somehow understood they were MX...
I came to a similar conclusion when I bought my first mechanical last year. I started out sure I wanted browns after researching online and reading explanations and watching videos on each switch. Then I tried a board with browns in store, and it just wasn't for me. I also tried my second choice, something clicky with blues or razer greens, but they were both just too loud for me. Romer-g was a bit too blah for me as well.I just received my mechanical keyboard. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823816015
I know there's a RGB version but those cost like $129. So I rather save some money and got this instead. Very solid built.
Prior to getting this I got the sampler keys to try out varies mx switches. Good thing my local bestbuy has a logictech G910 ORION SPECTRUM RGB for me to try out their Romer-G switches.
I highly recommend people to get the sampler https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00N6DXTW4/?tag=neogaf0e-20 to try the mx switches in person.
Just from reading is not enough. My first reading impression leaded me to believe either the Romer-G or brown switches was the one I'm looking for but after trying it out, I find the red switches are more comfortable for me.
Like some mention, those brown switch has a tactile bump but that bump felt like a scratch/or worn out membrane keys if pressed slowly. That leaded me into either getting red switch or romer-G (from logictech). Romer-G almost felt like brown and but more silent thus I end up with red switch that has a smooth downward pressing feel.

Help!
Something happened to my Ducky. Keys on the left side, mainly Tab and Caps Lock, will not "stay pressed" when I push them down. In FPS hitting Tab will bring up the score overlay, holding it will keep the overlay there, right? If I do that the overlay keeps appearing/disappearing like I'm hitting the button a million times a second.
I use Caps Lock for Push to Talk and it is the same. People say it sounds super choppy, like it is getting cut off and on super quickly.
Took the dive with a Corsair RGB Strafe Silent and I'll never look back.
I've got three different keyboards with MX Browns and they all feel different (CM Storm XT the most tactile, G710+ and CM Storm Trigger Z more "loose" keys). So there's definitely difference, even among the same manufacturer. So the browns on my ducky one feel different than other mx browns. They are nowhere near as tactile as my friends cm storm stealth. Sometimes as I'm typing it almost feels linear, especially the p or something. It's a little annoying as I wanted the tactile feel to it. Is that normal? Are all switches of the same color not created equally?

Are there any Logitech G610 owners here?
I'm looking to buy one, but it doesn't have Swedish, Finnish or Estonian layout for some reason. So closest layout after those is German, but that layout has Y and Z switched around. Are those keycaps shaped identically so I could simply switch them around?
Good work! I have 2x 87u's ( 1 for home ( 55g uniform ), 1 for work ( variable weight, Silent version) ) and I swear by them. Best keyboard ever made.So I just received my white realforce 55g 87u today and it is fantastic! Just wow. I didn't think it would exceed my already high expectations like this but it has.
Oh, and thanks a ton Sirap! It was your posts that inspired me to check out realforce over all the other stuff and I'm glad I did. Even though it's not RGB it is exactly what I was looking for in a retro looking keyboard and then some. And man is this thing built like a rock. I feel like I could use this thing as a weapon if I needed to and it would still work afterwards.
I will say that I wish that there was an easier way for more people to try these keyboards though. I can totally understand why the cost would put people off at first along with it not looking so modern and not having as much cosmetic customizability as the MX offerings. But for real, this is like heaven lol.

The G610 is manufactured with Nordic layout. It seems that only product shots available from Logitech are of the US ANSI layout. They are used product pages of the Nordic version at various online retailers, which I assume is what lead you to think that there is no Nordic version of the keyboard. German layout should work just fine with swapped Y and Z keycaps as long as your input language is set to the language you want to use.

Can you link me to sites that sell Nordic version? I googled and didn't manage to find anything really.

afaik the only way to activate numlock is to press the button. are you on a mac?
I've heard Browns change in feeling depending on their surface, maybe it's that.So the browns on my ducky one feel different than other mx browns. "Now I'm considering custom keycaps for funsies. Will any keycaps fit, or is there a specific brand to look for? "
Any keycaps that are "MX-compatible" or will fit Cherry MX stems will fit on your board. In reality, that is 98% of the keycap sets you will see on the internet.
So I got a poker 2 which I enjoy for gaming and typing. I need your guys help recommending my next board as there are some issues with this one.
-cherry mx reds are....okay. Kinda scratchy. I preferred blues but the bump was too annoying to game on. Should I try topres?
-60% keyboard is great, but it annoys my wife not having arrow keys even though I mapped the caps lock as a quick modifier (its faster than having arow keys to me lol)
-Looking into 65% keyboards, those are probably my favorite comprise, not as big as tenkeyless.
-leopolds is expensive asf. 200 for a board is pushing it.
-noppoo choc mini?
-should I try mx browns? Are they less scratchy than reds?
You might be talking about the FC660C, which has Topre switches. The FC660M variant (with MX Cherry) are cheaper but keep the same (great) layout.

Maybe the inner surface. MX are apparently far better uf yo properly lube them. What do you mean by surface? Like the keycap? Or the surface that the keyboard is on? Not sure how that would change anything..

I have a switch sampler and the Browns do seem less scratchy to me, at least with o-rings they do. I owned a Red kb for a few days and while I couldn't describe it at the time, scratchy makes perfect sense. The tactile part of the Browns replaces the scratch, so naturally there's less of it.So I got a poker 2 which I enjoy for gaming and typing. I currently own a Microsoft Sidewinder X4 and I keep considering taking the plunge on a Mechanical Keyboard... is it worth the upgrade? I'm eyeing up the K70 RGB.
