they eat fucking dogs, I couldn't cares less about what happens to them I hope those lions scape and rip their body appart. Too bad they are the ones that are gonna rule the world though...

Yeah so not only do ALL chinese eat dogs (And I won't even talk about cutural relativity here) but they should be mauled to death as well. Great contribution man!

Makes my blood boil. Fucking pricks.

At least those people have the opportunity to defend themselves, and throw back.
Never said it was ok, just laughing at the 'Only in china can kids be so cruel' sentiment in this thread. We even got one racist calling for all them dog eating chinese to get ripped to shreds.

Now we put them in an enclosed space where they stand no chance of retaliating and let the lions decide how they want to prank them!!

Is this the same zoo where visitors buy live chickens and other live animals to tie to a string, that then is dangled over the lion den, where all the hungry lions all take turns at swiping the chicken in an attempt to pull the chicken down, until it actually gets pulled down and torn to pieces as all the lions struggle to get a piece,, thereby making for an enjoyable attraction of "Chicken Pinata" for said visitors?

And I agree, throw these guys into a den, and throw snowballs at them. Then put it on Youtube. I don't know about throwing them into a lion's den though, it's just a damn snowball.

I thought this was going to be a feel-good story about lions playing in the snow for the first time. But instead it's a depressing story about multiple cruelties to captive animals.

Chinese zoos are generally the real life equivalent of that stereotypical Russian hellhole prison you see in movies, except for animals, obviously. The care, enclosures, regulations, and even safety procedures are abysmal, and oftentimes wholly unfit for holding exotic animals outside of their natural environment. On the upside, I did get to feed a live chicken to a tiger one time for like $15. Still not sure how I feel about that one.

Edit:

Yeah, I did that, it was tigers though. It's not as bad as it sounds, when tigers get their hands on a chicken it's generally over before the chicken hits the ground. Doubt they do it at the zoo in the article though.

Then what did you mean with "It's a snowball, not a brick"?

I meant exactly that. I don't approve of harassing these animals, but in the end snowballs are harmless.

The outrage in this thread seems out of bounds for the harm being done.

one thing i do not understand is why are they out in the cold they are not made for this cold. same thing goes for Toronto zoo we were out in December and lions and tigers were out iin the cold (-15)

Tigers are native to very cold climates, like Siberia. Lions are not, only the extinct European Lions were.

Classless people.

The third pic seems to have stairs to some sort of interior enclosure, which makes it less of an issue. I'm pretty sure the zoo closest to me leaves the doors between interior and exterior unlocked in the big cat exhibits. If the cats want out, might as well let them out.

Lol it's kind of funny

Lions are assholes!
This is either a terrible opinion or terrible trolling, I can't tell. In either case its terrible.

>:(
If I saw this, I'd throw snowballs in the people's faces at point blank range and yell "Feels good, huh!?" And then run as I laugh hysterically.

Lol while I would never throw a snowball at an animal - I can see the humor in the absurdity in it.
I'm sure some of you would like to pelt a lion with a snowball after seeing one ravage a family of deers
