Lollipop Chainsaw Screenshots (Grasshopper, PS3/360)

Zombies are finished like Guitar Hero and Cool Boarders, but I'll make an exception for Suda
They aren't finished until we get a serious open world zombie survival game with trust and betrayal mechanics.

LOL

Picking pepper out of shit, as they say.

Game looks like it will be fun. Don't know about all that "yellow" shit and obligatory Unreal hate, but I like cute girls who show off their panties while killing zombies with a chainsaw. It's the little things in life, you know?

It goes without saying, the game could totally blow, but if having to turn to elements of the game's contrast in order to find fault with it before it's been released is what it's come to, you might wanna find another hobby.

Can I hope for a playable Shinbou bonus? I don't even care if it's preorder or on disc DLC. I love Shinobu too much to care. JUST GIVE IT TO ME.

Meh, zombies are old news.
Yeah, I'd agree with that.

But at least this looks like it'll be fun and does some original things (for the zombie "genre" at least).

Plus, Grasshopper games are always bonkers, for better or worse.

Im happy to know screens tell so much.
I think Grasshopper's track record is enough to make that kind of call, honestly.

As long as this game takes itself like a wonderfully, campy B-Movie, I'll be happy.

Awe, it looks like it's only regular zombies. :( The main character design leaves something to be desired. The graphics look nice and I'm sure the gameplay will be satisfying, though.

Did people think Shadows of the Damned had wonky controls?

I thought they were rather solid...
I thought it controlled great. Then again I thought NMH also controlled fine. Now I realize I don't really understand the wonkey controls complaint. The "problem" with these games is more of the lack of depth in gameplay.

So, wait, is this game really using Unreal Engine? If they are I really don't understand why devs continue to use this shit.

But whatever, this game will probably have awesome characters and a crazy story so I'll play it eventually. Shadows of the Damned was pretty disappointing, but I still dig Grasshopper games in general.

Joss Whedon gonna sue somebody

probably beaten long time ago...if not shame on GAF

EDIT: I thought Bayonetta was fun and made even better due to its ridiculous style. Nothing exposes gamers as self concious losers quite like a game with an over the top "hot" girl protagonist. "OMG, WHAT A SLUT, I CAN'T DEAL WITH THIS PANDERING TO THE MALE MEATHEAD DEMOGRAPHIC, SAVE US ALYX AND SAMUS" Lol

OK, so we got this game - lemme pitch it to you:

There are mothafucking zombies, right? Lots of them. Everyone loves killing zombies. And what do they like killing them with? Fucking chainsaws man! Haha! Yes! And here's the kicker: the protagonist? Get this man: an 18-year old Californian high school cheerleader! So perfect, right? Yeah! Her chainsaw is PINK! Oh man this will be so crazy and out there and awesome. Maybe we could have her do funny cheerleader moves that show a little upskirt - like splits in the air, pom poms, all that shit. And we'll make it look like a comic book, cuz yeah. And when she kills these zombies we'll put flashy sparkles and hearts and shit all up on the screen.

Ugh.

Exactly my thoughts.

Oh, but here are so many peppers in that particular pile of shit, I can pick them all day. All I am saying is the choice of Unreal (or Gonorrheal as I like to call it) as your engine comes with a freight train line of baggage in tow. Grating rendering characteristics that go far beyond just ugly yellow bloom everywhere is just the start, there is also the jank factor.

Puts a damper on a persons enthusiasm right out of the gate that stuff does, especially when they were all there present, just as predicted, in Shadows of the Damned, reducing my enjoyment of the end result.

*Reads title*

Oh jesus, another fucking NMH like game that will never come to America and the Japanophiles will be cumming all ov---

This was probably more to do with Mikami than Suda. I say this, as I've never played a Mikami game with bad controls, and have never played a Suda game with good controls.

Edit: Resi 1 had shitty controls admittedly.

The thing is that they all probably love it (or should love it), they just have to feign disgust in order to seem progressive.

Besides, Jade is the true superior best female character ever.

Perchance means possibly. And "?" denotes the previous sentence as a question.
Your question already slides on the negative side so its really a question masquerading as a pot shot at the game. Your 2nd post pretty much confirms that.

Now don't lie and tell me that wasn't your intention.

I hate to say it, but after SotD I'm inclined to approach GHM's future projects with caution. This game will need to have significantly more to it than just being wacky.

There was nothing wrong with the controls in the NMH games...

Oh yeah, I think it will be a turd. I wasn't trying to deny that. You just seemed to suggest that the only way I could come to this conclusion was if I had played it. Suda has a sizable calatalogue from which to draw some fairly safe assumptions.

I've played most of them.

I think this game will suck.

What is bad about the controls in No More Heores or Killer7?

I saw your edit, but this bears repeating.

I don't understand the confusion. I generally find Mikami's games to have good controls, but concede to Resident Evil having poor controls.
