They already confirmed that didn't they? You collect Phantom Swords instead.

It could easily be assumed that the Phantom Swords were the weapon collecting that had been mentioned before. This is official confirmation that it was actually cut, and not just misunderstood.

We already knew from previous ATR that there is no weapon to collect in demo, just Phantom Swords.

I was aware. Again, it's the fact that weapon collecting was straight up cut and not just repurposed that I find to be troubling news. It's going on the cutting room floor with magic, chocobos and driving. That's a lot of stuff in a few short months that isn't being delivered on.

No it is, just not physical weapons anymore.

Phantom Sword collecting is still in.

Switching around the preset weapons isn't available in the demo, though.

There are still Phantom swords to find in demo I believe, just not regular weapons.
