Out of Wolverine (X-Men) and Van Helsing, which was the "reality" he was supposed to be distinguish?

As far as can be gathered from his post he sees both reality and fantasy as an indistinguishable blur.

He realises that the same actor is playing both characters, but thinks because his character turns into a wolf in one film this is somehow relevant to a character he plays in another film (which is based on a comic book that's already been in existence for 35 years previously).

Personally I think it's more worrying that he admitted this without any apparent embarrassment.
