I definitely think some are upset.Don't think anybody is upset. Mostly pointing and laughing at ridiculous amounts quoted for a glorified trouser pocket.

I know they're unpopular these days, but is there anything good in a "coin wallet" style? I'm getting a Fuze card soon (which should cut down on cards) but I don't see myself ever fully stopping using coins.
I would not buy a shell cordovan wallet.
As a material it is known to stretch. That and it's natural water resistance is why it is praised for shoes, because you can buy a pair that fits snug and they feel molded to your feet after daily wear.
But that seems like a poor choice for a wallet, because who wants all their cards falling out all the time?
When I travel abroad I sometimes carry laminated copies of my passport with me. Very cheap to do yourself at Kinko's.20 is steep, but I'm listening.
Real talk, should I be carrying my passport around in a money belt? Or copies of them? And are they comfortable and at least somewhat inconspicuous?
Spending a little more is worth it. A genuine leather wallet (like the ones from Saddleback) will cost at least $50-$100, but will last pretty much forever.
That $20 wallet is going to fall apart.
Meanwhile...

20, lasted over a year so far, still looks amazing. Nothing loose or lost.
Best gift my daughters ever got me.[/QUOTE]
Yo, not much of a pokemon fan/watcher, but what season/generation are those pokemons from? Would be interested in watching it.
It's been mentioned several times but +1'ing Bellroy and the Hide and Seek. I've had mine for several years now and it has held up great. Surprising amount of space given its profile and I like the divided bill holder that conceals larger denominations if you want.I have the Hide and Seek from Bellroy. I love it so much that I have the regular and the RFID models. The RFID one is a bit stiffer but I got used to it. There's more than enough storage space and a "secret compartment" hidden by a flap.
I simply love the design.
Going from 1080p to 1440p or higher with better textures is damn near a generational upgrade. But my ass can't tell the difference between a $25 wallet and a $250 one, and my money can't either.I wouldn't get a $350 wallet, I guess. But it sounds less ridiculous than buying a refreshed-design TV console when you own the previous one, collecting Amibos or even pre-ordering 6 month before a game in digital version.
I disagree even though I think amiibos are also ridiculous.I wouldn't get a $350 wallet, I guess. But it sounds less ridiculous than buying a refreshed-design TV console when you own the previous one, collecting Amibos or even pre-ordering 6 month before a game in digital version.
and then it looks like this after a few years
Not my picture. Mine is much darker and prettier now, although it is showing a bit of wear around the edges.
It's pretty dope, but I wouldn't pay that much for a wallet. I like mine better, anyway.
You guys are all crazy. A wallet is one of the only accessories men can spend a bit of cash on and realistically get their money's worth because of how much use we get out of it.
Follow these simple rules to wallet heaven:
1. Pick a nice designer brand
2. Ask for their simplest design. Forget all these crazy patterns and images, you basically want one colour - if you prefer, go for a bit of texture or extra detail but nothing more
3. Keep it nice and slim (i.e not with 50 cards in there) and don't put it in the same pocket as keys, etc
My current wallet which gets a stupid amount of comments is below - black leather, plain as hell but super classy and works for any occasion (except the beach). Cost me about $250US, have had it three years and it looks better now than the day I bought it

LOL. Do you really get commented on your wallet? Do you wave it around every time you pay and start yelling it has Paris lettering on it. Or do you leave it on top of a bar or table when you go out so people can see it. Sounds douchey to me.
If I had a choice what accessories to spend a bit of cash on would be a watch NOT a wallet.
A local company here in Texas called Hell Bent Holsters got into the wallet game a few years ago after previously only making pistol holsters. This is the "Combat Wallet 2.5" and it's served me damn well.
This is the carbon fiber variant but they have various designs like a leather one too. The money clip is titanium and has never failed me. It comfortably fits 5 credit card style cards on the Medium, and they were designed with securing the cards in place but almost making it easy to fan em out with ease. It also has that RFID protection too if you're about that. They have various designs for the clips, and you can even get a custom one as well.
Wallet was like $40-50, titanium clip was $50.
I highly recommend these to anyone in the thread looking for a new wallet.

This is what I'm using except in black.

It's called ekster, and it has a tracker built into it too.

My main wallet. Ran about $360. Holds plenty, more than enough room.
I just kissed my decade old $20 Fossil wallet. Still going strong.
Not sure about you but when I pay for something, I pull my wallet out. When that happens, people can see it and like any other piece of clothing/accessory, if they see it and like it, sometimes they comment on it. The lettering means little, the thing just looks nice.
It's no different to pulling up a sleeve to check your watch.
So I originally came in here to scoff about how I wouldn't pay more than $150-$200 for a nice leather wallet, and then one of you had to go and link the Burberry wallets collection. I uh, fell in love with this crazy print:
And now I'm getting dressed to go pick it up at the Newbury St. location in Boston. So yea. Whoever linked Burberry, I both hate and love you.
Lol, yeah I don't get why they named it that. How many combat situations have you been in since you got this wallet? How has the wallet performed in said situations?
I use money clip slim card holders now that I put my wallet in my front pocket. Picked up a nice Burberry one on sale recently for around 130ish?. Wanted one with a money clip and only a few companies have them. Coach has them for like $50 or so at outlets too.
This was good for me when I had it:

Sometimes I feel as though I live in a different world. If I was going to drop up to that amount of money, I'd rather pay someone to make a custom wallet for me.
What is the use case for a zipper on a wallet, is it just to keep it more secure? Seems like it would be really annoying after a bit.
I've had some Old Navy leather wallet that I think was about $40 for over 20 years. It's been through hell and is still holding up fine. I think I'd like to try a bi-fold though instead of a trifold, I kind of like the idea of just one bend in bills now.
I would not buy a shell cordovan wallet.
