Judging from the previews, you can definitely tell episodes 6 and 7 were switched.

I think so too. :(

Next weeks obvious place seems to be the plot-wise break of
The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham
which apparently would of happened next week.

In the preview I think I saw
Jack jumping into a waterfall
.

I hope ABC knows whats its doing in regards to the episode switch.

So what exactly did ginger head reveal this episode? Got a text during her long speech

She grew up on the island, and Faraday warned her, as a little girl to leave the island and never come back. Obviously she didn't listen,

So much to think about...
I'm calling it here, I'm calling that Ben killed Locke. The ring has to prove it. He lied not having seen Locke when he came "over" then said he "went to see him."

Locke was the one that was supposed to move the island, and then when that failed, he was the one that was supposed to bring the 6 back together and see Eloise (I called that weeks back, along with 1/2 of everyone else), to find out how to get back. Ben's screwed that plan up to, and inserted himself in Locke's place. Ben is the big baddie!!!!
:lol :lol

Uh seriously, spoiler tag shit like that. Because if you're right, it lessens the impact for us who read it.

I'd say this episode comes in at #4 out of the 5 episodes this season. I'm quite shocked everyone is super hyped over this episode. Sure, the scene with John and Jacob/Christian was really cool but the middle of the episode was kinda blah IMO.

It's set up nicely but I wish we would have gotten a Desmond reaction to Eloise this week. :(

Anyhow...the top 5 eps this season in order.

1. Ep3...Jughead
2. Ep1
3. Ep4
4. Ep5 This Place is Death
5. Ep2 The Lie

This is still a great season and I still say this has the potential to be the best eclipsing S3.

THEY HAD BIG AMERICAN PARTY

Oh, and I should go ahead and call, that Ben probably was the one to put the fake 815 plane in the ocean, since Widmore has twice acted wierd. He said he didn't plant that plane back on Ben's episode last year, and this year, when Desmond showed up, wasn't that interested in anything but making sure Penny was safe and hidden. Sure, he's probably a bad guy, hence the freighter and all that....

Charlotte lived on the island as a kid, as part of the Dharma Initiative. Faraday (who apparently time traveled to that point) told little Charlotte to leave the island and never come back, or she'd die. Charlotte and her mother left; as she grew up, she remembered living on an island when she was younger, but her mother always denied it, presumably to prevent Charlotte from trying to go back. She said she became an anthropologist so he could find the island again.

Yes, I liked the episode but I don't see it as "amazing" or anything as is being said in this thread.

I think the first three episodes were great, but the last two have just been good.
Last week and this week nothing was really revealed, well, nothing that we already hadn't speculated. It wasn't a surprise for me to see Jin alive last week and this week was just a total setup for future episodes. We didn't even learn anything new about smokey.

Widmore was using reverse psychology to get Desmond to track Hawking down... if he really didn't want to put Penny in jeopardy he wouldn't have revealed anything to Desmond.

He uses his daughter as a prop to get Desmond to do things for him. That's his entire story arc and has been since the finale of Season 2. It's how he duped Des into going to the island in the first place.

We learned he protects the temple. I guess thats it's base.

What do you mean?

Preview spoilers/speculation:

It looks like episode 6 (next week) will deal with the O6's return to the island; they might even return in that episode. But episode 7, "The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham," is supposed to deal with what Locke did when he was Bentham. Airing the Bentham episode after the O6 already return to the island seems kind out of order--and apparently, ABC had ordered the two to be switched because they wanted the answers to come earlier.

Bah, that's bullshit. I knew about episode 7, but yeah, that's fucking lame.

The fact that two episodes could be flipped is a bit worrying. So far everything that has happened off island, other than the boat sequence flashbacks, has been pretty sequential. Everything on the island has been as well even with what is happening (this isn't like Season 2 where episode two showed things that were happening before the end of episode one).

How fucking crazy and all over the place is the plot getting if two episodes can be switched so easily?

Great episode anyway. I'm still curious to see what the reasoning is as to why Ben can be killed now when he was to be taken alive on the island, if they ever get around to explaining it.

True. I forgot about those little nuggets given to us this episode. But still doesn't make it amazing! :p :D
The episode no, but the smoke monster? FUCK YES.

I think it's just that one episode is entirely a flashback in and of itself so it doesn't matter much when it is shown.

Its seems to be the nature of one of the episodes that got switched.

The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham
(episode title)

Seems obvious that episode is completely self contained. Kind of like "The Other 48 Days."

Edit: Beaten.

So just to confirm, the reason for the island's constant time-shifts is because Ben broke the wheel when he turned it (since it was supposed to be Locke)?

I do remember he smacked that thing last season with a crowbar :lol

I was sad Charlotte died.

What is with this forum and the women on LOST? Why are they so hated here?

Seems to be.

Taken from another message board:

WHOA just figured out something CRAZY!
The van's name in the last scene said "Canton-Rainier"... which, unscrambled, says "Reincarnation." I'm such a genius...LOL!

Yeah I know about all of the episode titles. But I imagine when they write a show like this they have a particular order in mind when it comes to the episodes. Even the "The Other 48 Days" came at a specific point - right after Shannon got shot.

This sounds like something the network came up with but I'm curious as to why since the show is pretty much incomprehensible to anyone that hasn't been watching it all along to begin with.

I can't be the only one who thinks Ben has a master plan from the very start even before he turned the wheel. Almost like he did it to escape his own death.

I liked her! I like most of the women on Lost, the only exceptions being Shannon and Ana Lucia.

It's too bad she didn't have much to do, but I guess there's nothing really interesting or useful about her character.

Well the name Christian Shepherd is more of a Biblical name than Jesus Christ. :lol

Yes, that was cool. Actually redeems the pilot episode to me.

How would things be too different if Locke turned the wheel though? Ben would still be on the island but everyone on the copter would still be gone, and Locke would have teleported to the desert. Right?

Why is it such a big deal to get everyone back again? It seemed like they were always wheelin' and dealin' to allow people to leave the island.

Why does Jack and Co. have to go back now anyway? the island was skipping cuase Ben wasnt suppose to turn the wheel and it 'broke' after he did. So Locke turned it, fixed it... why do they have to go back now?

I feel like they only told him that so he'd turn the wheel in the first place. This whole 'have to go back thing' just a big manipulation by Ben to get back? Could make sense, considering it was Richard who first told Locke he had to bring them back and as far as we know, Richard still worked for Ben... does he care which of the two of them comes back? As long as someone does, heh

Somebody already figured out the smoke monster is called cerebus based on the hatch blast door.

The whole Christian Shepard thing is kind of retarded.

And Locke's sacrifice and subsequent resurrection? (pure speculation: his coffin will be empty when they crash on the island again)
