I'm the type of person who would want it to go on for more seasons. Since the creators didn't want to get canceled and wanted to work toward and end, they decided on 6 as the end. Even though they want to take a break from the amount of involvement it has,after it's over, they still could have brought another season to the table.

I'm going to be sad.

High quality tv series is my favorite medium. Assuming it doesn't friggin get canceled, different writers,directors, actors leaving, children aging, and "making stuff up as you go" can hurt some some things.

But, something prewritten?

I think the A Song of Ice and Fire book series could be amazingly epic. If it spans like 10+ seasons I'd be a happy mofo.

And perhaps that will be my replacement.

Yes. Some of LOST GAF has been suggesting as much, and Ive been laughing at them for even thinking such a retarded idea would be used. But Cuse's remarks are starting to worry me a bit.

I don't get this...

If the show had restarted this season then YES, it would have sucked. But if they build to it, and it is the final conclusion, it could work.

This whole show is about fate vs. free will. Being dragged onto an island by a fucking fluke magnetism incident does not seems like free will to me. If the entire show is about the fate of these characters teaming up to give them and the rest of the world free will...well...I don't know how that can be complained about?

I don't think the 6 seasons of character development are ruined because, as we see, these characters already start to remember things...so it's not like it's all wasted. These characters redeem themselves, and are no longer forced to land and, for the most part, die on an island due to events out of their control.

That being said, I don't particularly WANT that ending...but if it's the way it goes, it definitely won't ruin the show for me.

My tolerance for FF has been well documented. At least it provokes a small number of thoughts and interest in it's overall plot. V is just incredibly boring.

FF has some decent cinematography at times too :S
