Around the start of the season I rewatched the pilot and Walkabout and White Rabbit, which was perfect for the first few episodes. I also watched all of season 5 and some random episodes.
I don't have the time to watch all of season 1 or anything. I'm just watching the sort of parallel episodes. Or trying to.

Some of us have been watching season one's "sister episode" i.e. the episode that showed how and why the centric character was in Australia, since of the course the flashsideways have been focusing the LOSTIES returning from Australia.

So:

LA X/Exodus
What Kate Does/Tabula Rasa
The Substitute/Walkabout
The Lighthouse/White Rabbit
Sundown/The Greater Good.

I've found it adds a lot to the new episode being in that they're written with the older ones in mind. The Lighthouse especially relates back to White Rabbit quite a bit.
 
Just rewatched Lighthouse.

Something I really picked up on this time was the awesome banter/dialogue between Jack and Hurley. Really funny and insightful.


This next episode should be very exciting. I'm just gonna call it Temple War. EVERYONE is heading to the Temple.
 
The Temple is ground-zero. Shit's about to pop off.

It has something to do with the island being a cork - I guess it means it is storing a large amount of energy. I don't know how that is spoilerish, since we've pretty much known that since we found out about the Swan fail safe

Why did I think sun didn't reveal she spoke English until season 2? That's what marathoning does I guess.
Aaron should have just stayed "Turniphead." The parts with Sawyer reading to him are hilarious.
And Locke...I hate this Locke. I think I'm going to hate Locke a lot in episodes I rewatch. You fucking killed Boone dumbass! Stop being a mysterious bitch about it!
Sayid is a mo'fuckin BADASS. Can't wait for Tuesday.

Seeing Boone being buried on the empty hill that would go on to bear his name is crazy now that so many bodies have been laid to rest there. Now that the BOSS has been laid to rest there.

No way the BOSS would've have survived a plane crash only to die in a plane crash. He would've walked away from that bitch, well, like a BOSS.

Sayid eulogizes Boone, Ben eulogizes Locke. Pretty cool given the relationships between the dead(Boone/Locke) and the eulogizers(Sayid/Ben) respectively.

SMH@ Jack going postal at Boone's funeral. You don't choke slam John Locke, ever. But that''s reactionary quick tempered Jack, another glaring example. Which is why I don't get why people thought it was out of character for him to smash the mirror in the light house.

Well there hasn't been a day since he was born that Sawyer didn't run shit. But you noticed that putting his hands on the savior caused Jack to crumble to the ground like a mess.

A lot of shit is standing out. Like Claire being extremely apprehensive about entrusting Aaron with anyone just long enough so she can sleep,

Charlie: "No one is going to take this baby away from you, no one."
Clarie: "You can't say that, you can't know that."

Well a bitch named Kate ended up taking him away and now Darth-Claire has an Axe with her name on it.. Can't wait for that confrontation. :lol

Yeah I watched it again today too. Did anyone else notice how the jungle didn't really look how it looked in the first season( I understand 6 years has past) but it all looked new to me and the cave looked different too. Great episode though, definitely in my top 5 Jack episodes! Hard to believe it's Monday already. Also holy shit at Jack's waaay overreacting to "Why Jacob was watching him":lol :lol got to love him!
 
This is such an awesome episode.

Sayid's friend Essam(don't know where I got Omar from earlier) is driven to terrorism, prepared to martyr himself after losing the woman he loved. Essam has second thoughts, but in order to find Nadia Sayid must convince him to go through with the plan(so the explosvies can be secured).

Sayid: I lost someone too Essam, I will never be whole again. There needs to be consequences for those responsible. That's my duty. That's how I will honor her.

He's embellishing and playing into Essam's vulnerability bit he is still referring to Nadia. That statement ultimately holds true. After Nadia is killed Sayid aligns himself with Ben to track down and kill those responsible. Like Essam, losing the woman he loved drove him to the extreme(Also like Shannon who after losing Boone tries to kill the BOSS)Kharma is a bitch.

I can't get my head around why such a change has happened (yet they still ended up on the same plane together) because of the bomb going off back in the 70's.

I gotta be missing something.

The next four episodes should all be pretty huge. I think Sayid's flash sideways will be mostly standard fair but bad ass because it's Sayid. Shit is about to get real on-island, though. Partaay at the Temple!! Everyones invited..Lafleur's got the booze, Flocke's bringing the good shit to puff on!
