so when Ben calls the black smoke is he calling Jacob or the bad guy (MIB? what does that mean?)

Because I thougth Ben was under orders from Jacob the whole time, but seeing that the other guy/god/whatever appears to be the black smoke...well I don't get it.

That'll have to be touched upon soon.

Ben called Smokey in Dead Is Dead, which wasn't many episodes ago. And AFTER MIB/Smokey took John's body.

Locke mysteriously left when Ben called Smokey and conveniently showed up again when Smokey had gone. Seemed pretty obvious to me, now that we know MIB was really Locke then, that he was the Smoke Monster. Especially since we've seen in him in that form this season.

god, I wish Locke was still alive. Him and Jacob would have gotten along so much.
His martyrdom shan't not be forgot!

They're probably chilling with each other in the afterlife. Next episode Hurley will stumble across them playing backgammon at the lighthouse or something.

Like I said, Hurley gonna walk in on locke giving Jacob some dome one of these days.
:lol Or he'll walk in on ghost Locke banging ghost Libby.

Having RLocke follow around Hurley for the rest of the series so he can communicate with others would be goddam fantastic.
Yeah, I fully expect to see Locke as Hurley's Obi-Wan at some point before the series is over.

Who wants to bet Hurley's imaginary friend Dave is a real person in X land?

Dave leads Hurley to a cliff and tells him the only way he can escape the dream is by throwing himself off the cliff and challenging his mind to deny the hallucination. When he jumps Dave tells Hurley "see you in another life",

I wouldn't like that at all :(

Real Locke should rest in PEACE the fuck out. Let me properly mourn the man for god sake.

That'd be cool. Or a once real person (now dead) from island timeline.

Oh shit.. I hadn't thought of that.. hurley can see dead people, locke is dead... I just jizzed all over the keyboard, brb cleaning.
Libby's husband was named David, so it would've been a neat twist if Hurley's "Dave" was the same dude. Libby entered the psych ward after depression from her husband's death, after all.

But Darlton squashed that in a podcast iirc, saying they're not related.

Oh god, I wouldn't want to see what Locke is like now. He'd probably have gone way off the effing deep end after realizing what happened to him.

E's Kristen just posted a scoop she got from Michael Emerson, I'll spoilertag it for the sensitive people (its pretty vague though)..and leave out her stupid hit-grabbing speculation.

"They have an important relationship," Michael teases with that deliciously devious little grin of his. "Yeah...friends," is all he'll say of their status.

Now THAT'S a plot twist.

Locke X has a gay affair with Ben X confirmed.

I was checking out the LOST page on the Sky1 site when I ran across some screen captures of seasons 1-5. One picture in particular is Ben dressed as a security guard at the Sydney airport using a metal detector on Jack. I cannot for the life of me remember this scene. Here is the link...

http://sky1.sky.com/new-lost-pictures-the-lost-supper

...it is picture 426 out of 1386 so there is some work involved to get there. Does anyone know which episode this is from and why Ben would be at the airport in Sydney before flight 815?

Also, in reading a number of recaps and whatnot of this past week's episode(6.05 Lighthouse) I continue to see that this was supposedly the show's 108th episode overall but in my calculation it was the show's 107th episode...

Season 1 - 24 Episodes
Season 2 - 24 Episodes
Season 3 - 23 Episodes
Season 4 - 14 Episodes
Season 5 - 17 Episodes
Season 6 - 5 Episodes(so far)

My mind just exploded. :lol

Fucking Darlton. They probably realized afterwards how perfect that would have been. Those assholes probably change shit on the fly whenever a fan gets it right.

The same episode Libby and Hurley hooks up is the episode where Hurley is going crazy seeing Libby's ex-husband.

Come on, that's genius.

I believe that was an episode in Season 3 where someone (Locke?) is dreaming about the airport. Boone shows up too. It may have been the time he spotted Horace building the cabin too, but I can't remember too well.

To be fair, it's a different show. It's almost like saying "Return of the King doesn't have as much soul or heart as Fellowship of The rings does" it's not supposed to. The final act tends to take on a much different tone than the first. We're no longer getting to know these characters, we're dealing with all of the shit they've gone through and continue to go through.

When powering through the series, there was a very natural progression. I don't like to look at as seasons, usually, rather one story.
Yeah it definitely is a different show, but if it wasn't for the "getting to know" that character's I wouldn't care at all, that's why S1 is may fav, and will remain so. I feel you there, I'm really looking forward to watching this series, starting on May 24th, knowing the out come. It will definitely seem and feel more like one biigg story( even though that's what it is) I wish I could wait til Aug 1st and just plow through all seasons, and get the final one on the 24th! It would be soo much easier to remember all the little details and all the little things that are connected throughout the series, if you watched it all so closely together....

Yes! they had/have to be important to the characters for it to be explained! I'm really glad they gave them a greater meaning!

Just watched that "sneak peek."
The LA X timeline seems to continue its happily-ever-after streak. Sayid and Nadia act like they just saw each other a week ago or something, not long lost loves.

This reality's too good to be true, it's weird seeing so many positive resolutions... they're gonna end up getting royally fucked aren't they? :lol

Also, the second promo for 6x06 is out as well. Has some awesome snippets of extra footage.
As much as that mofo has been shit on for the past few ep's I'm glad, even if it's a little too happy

People who think that Season 1 of Lost is the best in the series and FOTR is the best in the trilogy are probably the same people who also think that The Sopranos' best season is its first.

In other words, these people are very handsome and correct about everything.

And I must say, it is better than I remembered.

Also Flocke's first scene was in S110?
Yeah I loved it more the second time I watch it. S1 has some of the best individual scenes in the series
At this point S6 is is my 3rd fav. Which is pretty good for only seeing 5 episodes! :lol

So I'm watching "What Kate Did " and her "dad" says he didn't kill wayne cause he doesn't have murder in his heart. Yet he was in the war in Korea, up until 4 months till Kate was born!
Well, to him killing someone in war is different than killing someone on purpose. I for one wish they would have showed more about her real dad. She must have hated him really bad! I'm mean even though she said he never "touched" her, they should have shown him beating Kate's mom or something......but you know I guess she killed him because she found out he was her dad, and she just hated the fact the he was apart of her!

I did give you a description of the scene and you certainly were not forced to left click 426 times, right click, and copy and paste the url but thanks for going to all the trouble.

It would have been easier to have watched the entire scene on the youtube link that someone posted.

Considering the literature included with "The Complete First Season" DVD set also says there were 24 episodes rather than 25 it is easy to see where it would be a bit confounding considering every other episode that is broken up in different parts list them as "1, 2, etc."

damn i forgot aqbout that ridiculius plot. so is it safe to assume that dave was just some random dead dude who loved fucking with hurley cuz he had nothing better to do?

Today at work, someone asked me to explain Lost to them, as they hate fantasy shows. He was like, "So they crash on an island. Then what?" That was literally all he knew about the show.

I then realized that verbally summing up 6 years of Lost makes a person sound clinically insane.

This is what I said, almost word for word if I remember everything correctly. He said he has no desire to watch it, so to explain it to him. So I tried to make it sound more ridiculous than it already is. :lol

"Okay well they crash on an island. And there's a smoke monster and there's these other people that live on the island. And they try to get off the island. That's season 1. Season 2, they're still trying to get off the island. Except they find a man living in a one room apartment underground who is saving the world by pressing a button every 108 minutes so that takes up a lot of their time. Then it blows up. Then in the season 3 finale instead of doing flashbacks to the characters lives, they do a flash FORWARD to the future and show that they get off the island. Season 4 keeps doing this and shows how they get off the island.

Then in season 5 they try to get BACK to the island because they left people behind. But when they get to the island they land in the 1970's. So they set off a nuke on the island which pushes them back to 2007.

There's also this cabin on the island where this guy named Jacob lives. And the cabin can teleport and it hops around the island. In the season 5 season finale you find out this Jacob guy has been visiting the characters since they were kids, PUSHING them to the island. And one of the characters is dead and this other guy who wants to kill Jacob is posing as the guy that's dead.

Oh, and there's a big wheel underground and this guy named Ben drives the island around."

He was just stunned and said that he likes shows where he knows the stuff could happen in real life. :lol

"So, right, in The Substitute you're seeing two John Lockes, one is a John Locke in an alternate timeline in which they never landed on the island in 2004 that was caused by some Losties who went back in time to 1977 blowing up a nuke, but when they did that they didn't die they just travelled in time back to 2007, and in 2007 there's this guy that looks like John Locke but is actually the human manifestation of the Smoke Monster, who's been able to appear in different forms throughout the whole series but we didn't know who he was until this season when we saw him and Jacob sitting around in the 1800s arguing, and Smokey threatened to kill Jacob if he found a way to do it, so he started a string of events that led to Locke being killed so he could take his form, because he only takes the forms of dead people."

Considering the whole daddy issue sentiment of the show...

And polarizing views... black/white etc etc (and Polar views ;) )

Are there any good theories about Jacob and Mib being father/son?

My thoughts go about as far as saying their fight is about choice and freedom of choice, but im not sure yet who is on what side...
