Of all the things XDes does that don't make sense, the biggest one is how he knows Illana X. He didn't even know her on the island!

Watching The Last Recruit now. Fucking MiB is still walking around with that goddamned stick in the background! WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH THAT STICK!

Do you want the carrot or the stick?

It's more likely that he didn't know her, but that she was Jack's attorney is just a fate thing.

That's how I justified it in my head anyways.

I love how Sawyer X trips up Sayid X for no reason. Sawyer pulls his gun out immediately after he trips him. Sawyer, you coulda done that to begin with! :lol :lol

Stupid shorthand is fine. They already have stupid shorthand for him though, he's the monster. He's not Locke. There is a Locke. They never had a friend named Hatch who got murdered and then the Dharma station dressed up as their friend Hatch and fooled all of them into thinking he was actually Hatch while secretly plotting to kill them.

The only main cast member that I just straight up don't like is Sawyer. All he does these days is throw one-liners.

Also where the fuck did Miles disappear to in the last episode? That guy is a sneaky bastard.

He ran the fuck into the jungle when Smokey showed up. Miles is smart people.

I wonder how they'll explain Miles' and/or Walt's special abilities.

I'm thinking, since "every man has a part of the Light" Miles and Walt got a little extra, and that's where their abilities come from.

It's gotta somehow tie into how Hurley/MiB could see dead people. Which will also not really go explained, I think.

In the Stay, Run or Hide business, Miles won big.

Miles gave the series an injection of logic. He showed up on the Island and pretty much said listen, y'all are acting pretty damned dumb. I'm going to not do that. Sometimes that means I'll disappear for weeks at a time (okay, hours) but I'm fine with that.

I'm 100% sure Ben is playing MIB.

He's just using his Magnificent Bastard abilities for good now.

I sincerely hope so. It would be a total copout to go from "Mr. Linus" back to old Ben. Unless he's just resorting back to his Baltar-like survivalist instincts.

Also I doubt they'll explain any of the special abilities. By now we're supposed to accept that they just have them because they have them.

If they don't explain it, I'll just consider this the truth. Seems good enough.

I'm not really expecting them to address the abilities, but if they do, I'm thinking that's the answer to it.

I'm fine with just accepting that they have them.

Explaining their abilities will only lead to some midochlorian shit.

Nah, saying that THEY'RE HOGGIN' THE LIGHT! works fine.

(I hope someone picks up on that reference ^_^)

There isn't any better duality in Lost history than Lapidus kicking the door early on in The Candidate, and then finishing the ep with a door kicking HIM. :lol :lol

Not necessarily. I think there's a good chance the finale and the wrapup for the Xies will leave enough open for interpretation to have a decent idea of what caused the abilities. Assuming none of them in that timeline have any specialness to them, the reason it exists or the base differences between the two worlds could be enough to form a decent answer.

I certainly don't think it will be spelled out, though, and don't really think it should be. Though it would have been great if they'd put Malcolm David Kelley on a cigarettes and coffee diet when the show started so we could have seen more of the Walt/special children stuff.

I don't see why the characters calling him "Locke" is a problem at all. He looks like Locke, he talks like Locke. Sure, they all know he's not actually Locke now, but why does it matter? None of them had a particularly deep or meaningful relationship with John Locke. He was a sad man who was alone most of his life, and always wanted to be special. He set himself apart from everyone else and built walls separating himself and society. When he finally died, he no one fucking when to his funeral. Jack wouldn't even acknowledge him as a friend after he died. The only feelings anyone had for Locke were that he reminded them that they left behind friends they actually cared about on the island. Friends like Sawyer, Jin and Sayid. No one gave a fuck about John Locke when he was alive, so I don't see why anyone should be "respectful" enough to not use his name when referring to the monster.

Malcom David Kelly should've CHOPPED OFF HIS OWN FEET to get back on Lost.

He'd be the best method actor ever.

They just should have said he's allergic to mango and boar, and he swolled up as a result.

I asked this already, but I can't find where that was, so I'll ask again...

How did Ben change, exactly? As I recall, he was just following whoever would accept him. He had no "good" or "bad" allegiance; he was just taking what he could get.

Ben never changed. Alignments make sense when you play D&D, people are too gullible and don't realize he's playing along to get a chance to survive :p

EDIT: I misunderstood what you meant, I thought you were talking about this episode.

Nah, Sawyer is awesome. Goddamn, him yelling at Jack in LA X... :,(

BB: we're still alone.

Only thing funnier was when Richard coming out of no where telling Sawyer to come the fuck on and hauling ass when he heard MIB approaching.
