Yes its the same guy.Ghost said:I was thinking too about the leader without a beard in the flashback, has anyone worked out for sure if its the same guy from the confrontation? Its been a couple of months now i guess since they lost claire, clearly they decided to abandon the facility after that, still, probably not long enough for him to grow the face rug.
No he just realised he's becoming the same type of person he used to be.Ghost said:The Locke thing is interesting, i think the conversation about the prisoners good hearing 2 minutes before he went nuts outside was probably no coincidence. I think he touched a nerve, locke doesnt want to be told what to do, but im sure he was just playing up for the prisoners benefit.
Only thing i can think of is that they didnt see it, similar to how when gollum gives that evil look to sam (after he overhears his plan to kill the hobbits) and frodo doesnt see it.Mike Works said:I don't understand how there's any question amongst them if he's an other after the look he gave Jack (or was it Sayid) at the end of the previous episode.
You're just realizing that there's a distinct lack of communication among this group of people? No one's been telling anyone anything since day one. That's probably my main complaint about the series. Too many things are stalled just because people can't find time away from sitting in sand to tell everyone else about discoveries.MIMIC said:And I noticed: Locke didn't tell anyone about the countdown incident and Kate/Claire didn't tell anyone about the other hatch.
WHY??!!

An interesting image was part of the results, maybe a major possible spoiler because it looks very convincing. Don't know if it was posted before, but it's probably old:

Also something to think about when I drive to work in the morning the radio station I listen to has a Lost segement that goes over the previous night's show. Someone called up with a very interesting observation, when Claire\Russo\Kate went into the nursery there were dust marks on the walls. The things that used to be hanging there left dust outlines that looked like the hyrogliphic symbols on the countdown timer from the previous episode. Perhaps someone who recorded it could double check?
They didn't take the time to search the entire place and could have easily missed something.teiresias said:What makes people think they don't communicate? So you want a five minute scene at the end of every episode where one of the characters basically repeats the episode we just saw just so you can be assured they told someone else? I don't see why this has to be shown explicitly. The facility they found was pretty small, abandoned, stripped, and emptied, there was nothing there. Kate probably told Jack, but there's really no reason for them to return there.

It doesn't have to be shown explicitly, but there are numerous explicit examples throughout the series of people not communicating. Just look at tonight's show, where we learn Claire had no idea what happened to the people Danielle arrived on the island with. Or there's Michael telling no one about what went on with the computer. Or Locke and Mr. Eko not discussing their encounters with the monster. The show consistently prevents characters from discussing the really big mysteries of the island.teiresias said:What makes people think they don't communicate? There was an escape hatch in the wall in the hallway, I must learn the significance of it.teiresias said:The facility they found was pretty small, abandoned, stripped, and emptied, there was nothing there. Kate probably told Jack, but there's really no reason for them to return there.
I'm convinced that they are members of Dharma. Why they are putting on a performance and acting like they are survivors is another question because clearly when they took Claire they looked and dressed normal. I also wonder if there are two groups of others, the one Ethan and the boat people are from, and then the other group that walk barefooted around stealing people. Then again Ethan and the other guy were talking about the list and the barefoot people also had a list so they could be just one group. Hopefully some of this crap is cleared up soon.SFA_AOK said:I think that's a pretty integral clue to the "Who are the others?" question being posed, I'm sure it will come up at some point.

The other unanswered about her is, where is the repeating radio message she made located at? Her home was blown up.Memles said:I think the largest fallacy I'm seeing right now is Rousseau. I love the character, and to an extent things make sense because she's kind of insane, but she's been on this island for 16 years. She should have managed to find a lot of these things a bit easier than she did. It just seems like she's a convenient plot point when she needs to be there, but her role on the island is just gone otherwise. She should really know the entire island by heart now, and she apparently hasn't spent much time searching for her daughter if that hatch thing was sitting right in front of her.

Would have to be the 3rd episode of the season with desmond telling them the film is in the bookcase right?Juno said:One of the better episodes I've seen this season. Some good info coming out - like the glue, hat and fake beard. That threw me...
I'm wondering, what episode has this video featuring 3 scientists?
I've just checked What Kate Did? and that only has the main scientist (looks Korean, pardon my ignorance if incorrect) and just him. I can't find any footage featuring other scientists on the video.
If someone could post the episode and when-abouts I'd much appreciate it.

And how did that old ship (Black Rock I think) she found get in the middle of the island?
