LTTP: Bayonetta

I love the ease of how this plays. It's awesome. But seriously.

I go back to this game every other month to play certain levels over again. One of my favorite games of all time.

Only one of the most rewarding gaming experiences I have ever had the fortune of playing.

I'm not even good at it, but I still love it.

how could you want to skip the cutscenes in this

For some reason, I keep going back occasionally and then realizing I'm terrible at it and quit again.

Cutscenes are fine. The film strip things are pretty lame, though. Someone please start posting crazy Bayonetta gifs.

I have to say the cutscenes are really boring and completely kills the pacing of the game, and I usually don't mind cutscenes, but it's worth watching/enduring through to get the general context of the game and at least know wtf you're getting hit the first second right after you skipped them.

There are still some funny moments here and there, but nothing as straight forward and to the point like god hand.

I don't mind the fun cutscenes, it's the long serious ones that kill it.

The game has some super fun mechanics to it, but i can't help but feel like it needed a few more months to iron out the frame rate and fix up the score system. I still play it all the time though. Finished infinite climax on PS3, now I'm working on the 360 version. I wanna get all the extra crap too like all the extra weapons and the secret boss fight...but it's like the game requires you to kilgore glitch to get all those rings.

This is spot on. At the beginning when the cutscenes are just super-dumb, they are awesome. Then the game starts taking itself seriously, and the cutscenes go downhill.

Wish there was a PC Bayonetta.

Cutscenes are great, gameplay is great, music is great, and the artstyle is great.

You're playing one of the most insane, amazing, smartly designed, replayable games this generation. Enjoy it because you'll never look at another singleplayer title the same way.

The cutscenes really are terrible. They go on for far too long, and often they switch from CG to dull animatics because they clearly ran out of budget. The plot is nonsensical anyway. It's like a poster child for game cutscene direly in need of editing. You could chop out 3/4 of the length and have the exact same effect.

I think I would have enjoyed the game a lot more had I just skipped them all. I watched them in the hopes that they would be interesting and it killed the pacing.

Is the PS3 version really as bad as everyone says?

It's "Playable" but it could run below 20fps if I'm not wrong.

It affects it to a way where I need to slow down my buttom mashing for those QTEs inorder to get the game to "recognize" my button presses, not sure what's the deal.

i beat it all the way through infinite climax. the frame rate is pretty disgusting and it's an eyesore to look at, but it's not unplayable. still an awesome game if all you have is a ps3

Select the loading screens = Training mode

speaking of other weird little things in the game, several playthroughs later, I just found a katana move where if you don't press anything, she charges up some laser beam? but I've only gotten it to work in underwater sections? anyone know what the hell this is? haha

it pretty much destroyed the flying worm things in one hit

i forgot, don't you hold a button or something?

google tells me it's the target button

nah, that's the charge slash move. this is like-- hit slash once so she goes to a "ready to attack" stance after, don't press anything, and she starts slowly moving the sword 360 degrees in front of her and a weird glyph appears in front of her, which then flashes, and if you hit attack again, she shoots a beam out. But it doesn't seem to work just anywhere.

Yeah i think it could be the target button, searching a bit on google

You hold RB and stand idle for that, then attack for the giant laser beam. You can do it whenever.

Only game that I have all the achievements for on both consoles. So amazing.

Also, Udon is translating the artbook which comes out in May I believe. Very happy about that.

Glorious and Gracious are still the biggest jerks though. Though shotguns work out pretty well.

Those are the ones I commonly see people have issues with, but I've always handled them fine and instead struggle with Fearless and Fairness. They can eat a bag of dicks.

I'd rather fight Glorious and Gracious than those terrible dogs :(

Those stupid dogs likes to do the air bite, so I hate them, hate theeem, and you can't launch them until their armor comes off or something, I suck fighting them. It's like that stupid shark guy in viewtiful joe.

I could usually hang out in the air and stepping on those glorious and gracious with kilgore feet, and do the typical air combos, just need to avoid the uppercuts, but they're easily manageable and predictable and easy to stun
