So, I never really got to play this game that much. I played it on Wii kiosks before the system actually launched, and I played it a bit at friends houses, but yesterday I had the good fortune to find a coworker who was willing to sell the game to me for TEN BUCKS. Needless to say, MINE.
This game is frickin awesome. Hataz be damned, because everything in this game is completely full of awesome and win. Control is tight, but at the same time becomes loose enough to not allow you to completely screw up if you make gestures that are too huge. It's really all about finesse. The tracks are amazing as well, full of awesomely huge jumps, shittons of trees to avoid/crash into, and lots of great turns. I've only completed the Bronze and Silver cups so far in the easiest difficulty level, but even now the AI is still giving me a hell of a time. Maybe it's because my truck kinda sucks (I'm using the first truck you get, as I haven't really unlocked many yet) but I never feel like I'm completely destroying the computer. I feel like I have to WORK a little bit for my win. Even the soundtrack is great; and if you don't like it you can play your own stuff. I've been listening to the new Go! Team on it, and it fits the mood perfectly. Weren't people actually hating on this game when it came out? Because wow, those people are CRAZY. This game is awesome. Amazing and awesome.
