LTTP: JetPac Refuelled (XBLA)

I can't believe I missed this gem for 360. I recently got a 4000 MS point card and decided to bite on the game. For 400 points, I think it's the best value on XBLA. Has the original game in full, plus 128 completely new and addictive levels (completely new and gorgeous visuals), and manic co-op online and offline. This game will kick your ass and it's classic arcade fun. More XBLA games should be like this: cheap and a lot of value, with simple but addictive gameplay.

Once you get to level 10ish and see how the entire screen is filled with enemies, you'll learn to love the game

Pretty fun game. Got it about a month ago but haven't really gotten into it. The demo sucked though, it was like the first 2-3 levels? Boring. Devs needs to look at something like the Mutant Storm Reloaded demo and copy that. Multiple difficulties with 7-10 stages taken from throughout the game to show how intense it is. I had the demo sitting on my 360 since the game came out and I only came to purchase it last month only cause I hadn't bought a game in a while. The demo almost killed my interest

And I can never find anyone online for Jetpac.

Hey wasn't this game in DK64 in one of those little arcade thingies? I remember it being extremely hard.

Yeah, slightly disappointing but I play so much co-op with younger siblings it's hard to care. Plus 128 levels? Damn, I applaud anyone who beats em all because this game is starting to kick my ass, bad.

Way to spoil a party. But yeah, it wasn't my thing. Where's Snake Rattle & Roll FFS? >:-(

God, the soundtrack for that game is amazing. Dave Wise is seriously underappreciated.

I thought it was pretty cool actually. Havent played it for months but as far as old games that get updated graphics this is one of the best.

Yeah i'd like to get on some multi with this again. Only took it on Live once but play locally with a friend every so often; i usually dominate.

It's one of my favorite XBLA games ... until you get to the part where enemies are almost invisible and spawn inside of your character and you die constantly >=(

I was about to post the same thing. The game starts out fun, but the enemy design is constantly poor and/or annoying and it just gets worse and worse as the game progresses until it hits the peak of most annoying fucking enemy design ever -- the invisibles.

And, I mean, come on...even games from 1978 realized that it's not very nice or fair to have enemies spawn ON YOU, instantly killing you, how could Rare miss this in 2006?

Jetpac: Refuelled doesn't have co-op. The only thing its multiplayer offers, is a piss-weak attempt at a competitive versus mode that generates almost the same amount of enemies as the first 10 single player levels (= boring). Disappointing, since actual co-op would've been great in this.

Very good game overall though, definitely worth the 400 MS Points.
