They have to write something.Stumpokapow said:shitty journalist: hey dude do you want to continue being employed?
dude: yes i would like to continue being employed. i would theoretically work on a new project if i could get paid to do so.
why on earth do so many gaming journalists ask a version of this question. 100% of all directors are willing to make sequels to 100% of all their games, provided demand and publisher support is there.
Outcry on both fronts, game would still sell shitty and people that once were crying for it to be released on their favourite platform would bitch about the game's quality.Vinci said:I almost want this to happen... just to see what would occur.
Pull a NMH as in the sequel will be on Wii and there will be another title (extended version of the first? didn't keep track) on PS360? Would be quite the contradiction to your first theory.Surgeon Rocket said:If, by the slim chance there were a sequel, it'd probably not be on the Wii.
It might even pull a No More Heroes and the team that ported Bayonetta to PS3 might do the same for MadWorld.:lol
With that said, I hope they polish the shit off of what was there, as it's a fun and original game, albeit repetitive.
Oyashiro said:Holy shit, I didn't even realize that MadWorld was by Platinum Games. Will definitely buy now.
Yeah, It was poorly worded, but I meant assuming there was a sequel, the original would likely be ported to the PS360 for the sake of expanding interest.Phife Dawg said:Pull a NMH as in the sequel will be on Wii and there will be another title (extended version of the first? didn't keep track) on PS360? I'm not sure if I get what you're saying here.EatChildren said:No? How so? I'd happily pay for a solid MadWorld sequel on the Wii, but if a MadWorld sequel comes along (which I dont think will happen, mind you), I could see them sticking to the low-key brawler style formula, cut dev costs, and put it on LIVE and PSN.
I dunno, man. I just played through MadWorld the past couple days, and not many of the motion controls really struck me as something you couldn't translate to just using the two sticks or the triggers on either of the HD systems' controllers to emulate a la Indigo Prophecy. Which is not to say "MAN THIS GAME SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN ON THE WII WHY WAS IT ON THE WII FUCK THE WII" (because that's just stupid) so much as it's to say the motion control stuff was funny and charming, but was more there to provide an added "oomph" instead of a legitimate gameplay benefit and given the choice, I'd much rather have had a second stick mapped to a God Hand style dodging system.Rez said:if they studied the market properly, this game would never have been released for Wii. Luckily, they didn't and, as a result, I got to play a game with awesome Wii functionality.
Ah I see, well considering it is Sega we're speaking of they'd probably make it a PSP exclusive for a smart business move.Surgeon Rocket said:Yeah, It was poorly worded, but I meant assuming there was a sequel, the original would likely be ported to the PS360 for the sake of expanding interest.
I hope it failed horribly in Europe, at this day and age shit like the PAL version of MW can't be tolerated any more. I am inclined to believe it bombed though, currently on sale for 5 pounds at Zavvi, although I'd advise against buying the PAL version, even at that price.John Harker said:i dont know if I'd consider 150kish a 'bomb', though I wonder how it did in Europe? Isnt Spike publishing it in Japan, do those sales count too :lol
Can never tell with people anymore
Who are you going to listen to, Platinum? All the smart people in this thread asking for a sequel, or a guy who thinks Blaze the Cat is a great character?Black-Wind said:Abort that shit right out of your head, P-Games. >_>

Make your choice.
