Magneto or Professor X: Which powers would you rather have?

In celebration of X-men DOFP coming out, I thought this would make an interesting discussion. For me, its a hard decision but I think I would prefer Prof Xs powers because of the many advantages of knowing what someone is thinking.

EDIT: Forget the whole wheel chair thing. Its about having their powers, not their disabilities.
 
I'd go full mech suit as Magneto.

Well Magneto has full control over electromagnetism, which is one of the four fundamental forces in the universe.

However, Professor X could control Magneto and other mutants... so there's that.
 
Magneto.

Magneto is insanely stupid powerful, but at the same time, you don't get the disadvantages of being able to read people's mind which must be a social disaster.
 
Def Prof X. I'm not looking to maim, kill, or destroy. I'd just lay low and exploit my ability to read minds and force thoughts on to people.
 
Might be a pain if I accidentally wipe my hard drives, but I suppose with the profits to be made from Magneto's powers, I could go all SSD.
 
Things I would want to fuck up... Not all those things contain metal.

People I would want to fuck up... All of those people have minds.

Prof X wins.
 
What good would manipulating metal do to me?

By reading people's thoughts I could influence the whole world and become rich. I would be the ultimate spy. Trade/miitary/diplomatic secrets are worth a lot of money
 
This is a no brainer: Magneto. You get the power to fly, telekinesis, as well as near infinite offensive and defensive powers. As Professor X you get to...know what someone's thinking. Not all that useful for me. You also gain the power of persuasion which I suppose could be used to obtain money, sex, and the like, but I'd rather not for moral reasons. And the power to cast illusions...not sure how much practical use that power has either. Definitely magnetism.
 
Professor X could take over the world if he wanted to. He could have anything. So, that one.

Edit: hey nobody said this comes with a wheelchair, you guys are just trying to justify your terrible choices
 
Why do people think all Prof X can do is read minds. He can mind control anyone on the planet to do anything he wants. He wins, it is not even close.
 
Prof. X is the obvious choice.
I rather read and control minds than move metal and destroy the world.

I would be so rich and powerful abusing my powers.
 
Magneto's powerset is utterly ridiculous, so I'd go with that.

Edit: So long as I got his helmet to protect against mind control too.
 
I can't believe all these Magneto answers. Think of all the mindfucks you can do with Prof X powers. I would be SO goddamn rich.

Edit: Also we're talking about mutant powers. I would still be able to walk.
 
Got to go with X.

Hell I choose X, then I can control anyone in the thread that chose Mags and have both sets of powers.

X is crazy strong, and has the bonus of being able to control almost any body.

For that very reason I wouldn't want to have his ability. I have a hard time believing anyone with that power could stay good.
 
I'd become rich and powerful with Prof X. But it would be done at a pretty high cost to my morality.

Magneto though...I mean lifting a football stadium and the Golden Gate Bridge is pretty cool, but not particularly useful to everyday life. I feel like I'd be constantly hunted down and wouldn't be able to live a relaxing lifestyle.

There are many ethical issues regarding Prof X's mind powers. If abused it could be more damaging than controlling magnetic forces in the end.

You could change the idea of morality with Prof X's powers. Lolol.
 
I rate the usefulness of super powers by how well the prevent you from taking a bullet. Magneto seems to have the advantage in this category, so I'd have to go with him.
People in real life have better aim than they do in movies and cartoons, so I couldn't be a super hero unless I had some kinda bullet protection.
 
Magneto because I have a conscience.

The temptation to abuse the shit outta my Prof X powers would be too much.
