Ha! Thanks, guys!

This looks excellent!

I'll definitely check it out if it ever comes to Wii U.

Seems you'll be waiting a while...as will I
I'll echo the same reason I gave for Vita - I'm the only programmer and at launch debugging 3 builds won't be an easy task. But that's where GAF can help with alphas for the PC version :D

I'll be doing regular playtests and will be giving everyone here first crack.

Looks interesting. Hope it makes it go Gog.com as well.
We are hoping, too :D

That gif, wow!

Pixel art Tron indeed. Will absolutely check this out on Ps4. I hope this sells really well for you, and an eventual Vita port, looks perfect for it!

One of the developers of this game - Jacksinthe - is a regular on GAF and an all around awesome dude. The game looks incredible and is reminiscent of the games I grew up on.

Jack, if you're reading this...HURRY, we need this game.

Why can't this also be on One? Everything about it is so beautiful and quick. I don't want to get this on PC, but there's no other way

We are a team of 2 so we need to keep ourselves in check in terms of how many platforms we release on at once. I'd rather make sure it's up to standards when it releases so I'm not rushing to release patches. 2 platforms will mean I'll have my hands full.

We have zero plans for crowdfunding so I have upped my time at the day job to pay for this. Would be easier to kickstart but we can do this on our own steam and we love the game so we are staying the course. Just takes a little bit of extra time but the attention we give to the game will hopefully show through.

I'd love to push more but I don't want the game to suffer from it :(

Thank you for the kind words

I understand and thank you for the clarity. Hope u guys can get this out soon. You have my total support.

Looks fucking incredible! Like really, really particularly great. Day one. Love games like these and this looks like it's a very special game for this specific genre.

Looks rad. I love fast-paced action, especially when it has a sci-fi slant.

looks great, I'll have to check this out

Completely missed when this was announced before. Looks dope. I'll definitely keep an eye on it!

Love dropping in and seeing all these kind words from you all! :D it's a lot of fun making this with Jack as we are both incredibly passionate about the project. We can't wait to be able to share more.

Thanks again everyone!

Started a new Show and Tell series:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUctb-CXoQE

I go into minor detail about the two types of animation we use in our game.

Kept it as easy to understand as possible but the nuance that went into even this simple enemy in regards to it's leg movement is pretty cool even though you'll probably never notice it in game - but I like making sure stuff looks good even if it goes unnoticed.

As small of an example this is - we apply this to very large, very complex enemies, minibosses and bosses :D

Thank you!

"When it's finished" XD - Should be some time in 2017. We don't have a date set just yet since we are pretty adamant about making sure it's up to snuff :)

This is the Mega Man/2D Action Platformer we deserve.

Day fucking 1. :|

Thank you for the kind words! Hoping our blood, sweat and tears shine through for MM fans. We're making this because we'd like to scratch that same itch, too :D

This is awesome! Thank you for the informational video!

Is there ANY chance this could come to Vita??

Superb video! Very high production values, super clearly enunciated and scripted and highly informative to boot. And you're doing a full series of these? You should release them as a compiled documentary alongside the game, or ingame unlockables, or something! It's too good to be 'just' a devlog video.

Wooooo thanks!

I could possibly bring this to Vita but it would be after the initial launch. One area of concern is the physics. I use a combination of two types - take that explosion at the end of the video in the first boss room - every one of those flying pixels has its own physics and collision. They are all able to collide with and affect each other. That takes quite a bit of grunt.

On top of that, they are permanent. I love permanence in games and as this game has some backtracking, I like it when you can see the destruction you've caused to enemies :D

I am not exactly sure how intensive that can be on Vita's CPU. We are running between 100 and 300fps on PS4 with the former in really intense situations. I can definitely tone some down and even rework the physics for weaker CPUs but I'm the only programmer so I have a lot on my plate already with PS4 and PC development.

It's not out of the question, that's for sure.

If we do - cross buy 100% but no guarantees it will come though. I would really love to play this game with that D-Pad tho. Hnnnnng.

Whoa! This is a good idea! I should curate the videos as a complete downloadable somewhere. It would be cool to have that option of uncompressed video :D

This vid was pretty fun to make. I don't think many people will notice the small details like this during gameplay but this is the type of fidelity I like going for. It takes longer but yeah - the end result, even if you don't notice things like shading changes during something so quick, is usually better than not doing it.

The next video will be on the art itself, followed by another one on boss design, physics, etc.

I want peeps to see the process. I like getting feedback for sure.

Haha! Thanks :D yeah, as Jack said, we want this game to be the best possible product we can achieve so we don't have an exact date on it now. All I know is we are both extremely serious about making this game something we can be proud of upon release.
Hard to estimate based on that I guess...

Really looking forward to people being able to play it though :)

Jack is super good at making us look like we ACTUALLY know what we are doing :D hah!

You guys have seriously nailed the visuals and the animations, and the entire aesthetics of the game. I can't wait to try it out!

What engine is it using?
Thanks!

We are using Unity BUT DO NOT FEAR, the video shows direct capture from PS4 and our performance is solid across the board :D

Damn this looks fucking cool! Definitely will pick up the PS4 version.
We appreciate that, Vire!
