"It's McFly! GET HIM!!!"

One of the single funniest shows of all time. Period. I cannot express enough how much I god damn love this show. :)

You know a show is damn good when you try to think of your favorite bits and have a hard time coming to a definitive conclusion after several minutes of critical thinking.

I will say this; Lahey, J-mac, Bubbles and Ricky are some of the funniest damn characters ever created for Television. Especially Lahey. His shit metaphors are just fucking golden!

"I'm watching you Julian. Like a Shit Hawk... like a Shit Hawk."

Exactly.

Found out about this show thanks to netflix, ended up powering through the entire 7 seasons within a week or so.

The first movie was kind of a letdown, but Countdown to Liquor Day was outstanding.

This show is golden.[

just watched the last ep of season 7 and moving on to the movie. Kinda wanted to know what happened to Cory and Trevor? They just disappeared.

Also I can't wait to see them come back with The Drunk and On Drugs Happy Fun Time Hour

JUST got into this show. Holy crap how did I miss it all these years?

Fun fact: I got the "scoop" on what happened to Corey and Trevor via Mike Jackson (Trevor) on MySpace. You can probably still find it on the forums of TrailerParkBoys.org. If I remember correctly it mostly boiled down to money and respect, like so many things.

The one thing Netflix needs to get here is the Christmas special. Probably the best episode in the whole series in my opinion.

They weren't exactly main characters.

Granted, but they probably had more screen time than any other supporting cast. It's been a few years, but I think it was mostly (Trevor's) problem. The dude who plays Corey had a lot of other side things going on so he was fine with leaving the show.

TPB is shockingly underrated/underexposed here in the states. One of the very best and most original character driven comedies, period.

Just started watching this show. So good. The first 2 or so episodes were alright but it starts to really click by ep 4. Been loving it. I'm at season 3 right now. I say it's better than it's sunny in philadelphia even before Sunny went to shit after season 3. Hopefully Trailer Park Boys keeps staying good. Also surprise with some sentimental stuff like with Bubble's back story, that was really sad. :( Also nice to see Ricky being a decent dad... well as decent a trailer park dad could ever be lol.

BTW That girl that Ricky was sorta a father figure in season 2 was Ellen Page as a kid. lol

Hahaha always funny to see someone watching the shows after the fact. For me, it was more like "Hey, this Ellen Page girl in this movie is Treena from TPB!!!"

Heh at first I didn't notice but it was stuck in my mind that girl reminded me of someone. Wasn't till later I realized who she was.

Count Down to Liquor Day or the latest movie is based after all the series. The older one im not to sure.......... its when you watch the show and go "WTF happened to the roof of Laheys car?" if your up to that part then you should go back and watch the movie..... after season 5 maybe?

The cast and crew took the summer of 2008 off, but a new special one-hour episode titled "Say Goodnight to the Bad Guys" aired in Canada on December 7, 2008.[15] Series creator Mike Clattenburg announced on November 12, 2008 that the special would be followed by a sequel movie scheduled for Canadian release on September 25, 2009 (Countdown to Liquor Day), which would be "the end of Trailer Park Boys," and that no additional seasons will be made.[16]

In January 2009, the boys were in character at select venues nationally including Massey Hall in Toronto, Canada. They performed the Ricky, Julian and Bubbles Community Service Variety Show. The premise was that they were fulfilling court order community service and must put on a puppet show aimed at demonstrating the dangers of using alcohol and drugs.

In November 2009, Wells, Tremblay and Smith announced that they will be starring in a new television series for Showcase called The Drunk and On Drugs Happy Fun Time Hour, set to air in 2011. The series has been given an order of six episodes. The actors will also serve as writers and executive producers for the series.[17]
In March 2010, the boys did a show in character at Massey Hall in Toronto, Canada called "The Ricky, Julian and Bubbles, Drunk, High and Unemployed Tour".[18] The tour expanded throughout 2010 and 2011 with live theatre performances worldwide including US, Canada and the UK.

In November 2010, the boys did a sketch for Funny or Die, called "MashUpPiece Theater: The Wire / Trailer Park Boys".[19]

Anyways when I should watch the first movie? After the 3rd or 4th season?

Yeah, probably after season 4 or so. The first movie is barely connected to the series timeline so you might not be spoiled on too much by that time.

The second film you'll definitely want to watch after the whole series (and Say Goodnight To The Bad Guys) though, since it's pretty much the theatrical finale.

And yeah, TPB is a top 5 show for me. Such an excellent character-driven show, I can still see older episodes several times and catch new jokes. Even the "worst" episodes still have golden moments.

New eh? Will it have the same leads?

I'd just watch the movie after watching the series and the second movie. It's not canon and might mess things up a bit for you. It's also not really very good.

Ricky: I try to be a role model for kids around the park. If some kid wants to grow dope, they can come talk to me, instead of growing dope 6 or 7 times through denial and error, they're going to get it right the first time and have some good dope.

Ricky: Knock-knock, Lahey.
Mr. Lahey: Who's there, Ricky?
Ricky: A fuckin' shitty fuckin' trailer park supervisor who hangs around with a big-gutted drunk elf who thinks he's gettin' us thrown back in jail but he can't 'cause he's got no evidence and he's dumb as fuck, and he's got this other thing goin' on in his head that's tryin' to... twirly around and... fuckin' get... different... FUCK!

Mr. Lahey: Randy just doesn't understand. I mean I love him dearly, but I hate Ricky more. I just don't want to have to put up with that prick for the rest of my life. You know, he grew up as a little shit-spark from the old shit-flint. And then he turned into a shit-bonfire and then driven by the winds of his monumental ignorance, he turned into a raging shit-firestorm. If I get to be married to Barb i'll have total control of Sunnyvale, and then I can unleash a shitnami tidal wave that'll engulf Ricky and extinguish his shit-flames forever. And with any luck, he'll drown in the undershit of that wave. Shit-waves.

Bubbles: I'd like to see that Red Blue Green cocksucker put one of those together, duct-tapin' it.

I forget where I left off (somewhere in season 5, I think) but now I just put on random episodes. This show is so fucking good, you can't really go wrong with an episode.

what are these guys doing now? I'm assuming they hit it pretty big with this (episodes with Rush, bunch of movies, etc.) I completely missed this when it came out, so I don't know how big it hit in the U.S. I mean, it pre-dates the office and curb your enthusiasm, which have similar improv styles (and the office uses the same mockumentary format.)

im watching this series on netflix now.

i just got to the episode "Conky" from season 4.

this is the funniest show in the history of fucking time.

really liked the first two seasons, but lost interest in season three, and stopped watching around Rush episode. Does is get better again, or just wackier and wackier?

If I can remember correctly, Season 6 is a good season, but Season 7 is just super strong. One of my favorites. The Swayze Train!

"Stolen meat, Jacob, stolen meat!

The movies are average. The last movie was a let down after the awesomeness of Season 7.

It's one of my favorite shows. Apparently Trevor and Corey didn't show up for the later seasons because they weren't treated well and complained that later seasons weren't as fun to shoot as the first season. It's a shame.

So they treated Corey and Trevor just like they did on the show? That would be super hilarious.

Dont these guys have a new show now?

It's already finished its run. The Drunk and on Drugs Happy Fun Time Hour. I enjoyed it, it's a lot like The Prisoner, but I suspect most people hated it as it's very unconventional and very different from Trailer Park Boys.

It didn't look all that promising to me but I wouldn't mind seeing it.
