Man gets soul stolen during rap battle

The crowd ruined this battle. They kept booing throughout anything Iron said.
Yeah.. this battle is so not entertaining because of the biased crowd. Nowhere near as good as the Lux one from either side. At least Iron Solomon was rhyming most of the time, I dislike Mook's style so much but he cranked it up the last two rounds and Solomon left his weakest verse for last. The Rick James shit was so tacked on and terrible every time.

Also Mook needed to shut the fuck up during Solomon's verses. At least that much respect should be there.

First:Solomon
Second: Solomon
Third: Mook
Fourth: Tie, Solomon was more consistent but Mook hit harder
Fifth: Mook

I know the crowd would shit on Iron the moment the Jewish lines started going.

Mook really got stupid with the Zimmerman stuff.

Just pandering to the crowd.

I would still give the battle to Mook, though.

I thought he was going for something a little more....entertaining with the zimmerman shit.

And tossing skittles on the guy? fuck outta here with that.

Just got done watching. Mook 5-0 EASY!! Overall the battle was kinda boring. I never was a Mook or Solomon fan in the first place and then having it go 5 rounds made it longer than it should of been.

Smack needs to drop Serius Jones Vs. Charlie Clipz next.

Yeah no fucking way, Mook is not even rhyming half of the time....

Mook never had a legacy in my eyes. Both Lux and Jae Millz killed him, his best verses were ghostwritten by T-Rex. Iron Solomon can actually freestyle and has faired well against arguably the greatest battler ever...Thesaurus. They both sucked though

You might not like Mook but he was paid 25K for a reason. Mook vs Young Hot shows how good Mook was in his prime. T-Rex is a lot better than his cousin now, but people were saying how Mook wrote Rex's bars when Rex first started.

In the Iron vs Thesaurus battle Iron wasnt freestyling. Thesaurus just came out of the spin the mic tourney and was 'ambushed' by Harry to do the battle. I would say Iron was prepared while Thesaurus had to freestyle his ass off.

That being said, Iron vs Jin is one of my favorite bodybags of all time. Jin the battler officially died that night.

The only thing I really took away from this is that Calicoe is going to get this work. This work being Lux pouring salt in the wound of a childhood with an absent father. Said father is apparently not a gangster and a fellow that unfortunately just lost his way. Also for some reason Harriet Tubman is being referenced as a stronger man than Calicoe's father.

Love Smack battles, I can get lost in watching them, you start at 12am and look up and it's 3am.

Hollow da Don makes awful music, but is dope in a battle.

You pretty much got the gist of it.

That happened to me the other day. Damn youtube!

I need a translator. What the fuck is being said?

Well here you go.

I want yall to picture this as I paint the slide
Tombstone grain and scribe "here lies my beloved." Grave this wide.
I mean I had that much love for you. I know that cuz you got that much hate for I.
Don't want you to hang your eye, not for a second lil nigga catch it, brace your vibe.
Be froze, for death is cold. I wanna search your soul
And hold on to whatever holds it exposing the pain you hide
Bring me mine nigga, ah.
Now I don't wanna break this bond,
I just wanna break the cycle.
Thank your moms I liked you for nights he didn't write you
She stayed alive so your days could shine.
I might do one better, with a letter to tell her I appreciate her kind.
How strong a queen she is, and any man would be lucky for her to be made his bride
But see I take in mind your situation. And though I never met your father I see a lot of his ways in your stride
I mean you got that "talk it how I walk it" kind of attitude, you know its real good that he gave you pride
Every son should be proud of his father, and I look at my little one and I want the same for mine
That's why when I look up at you, I see what he can go through when a father don't take the time
I think its fucked up when them people gave him all that time
You wanna know what's even more fucked up?
For all them years he got away from you, has only been a way for you
To be more together would have been a cage in five *
That's why I'm angry guy
Cuz he didn't take the steps now you chase his rep but them running shoes aint your size
They say don't whine over spilled milk
But what a man supposed to do when his baby's crying?
Oh he say shit like "you know it cost to be the boss" what he too good for a paying job?
What was wrong with being a cable guy? A real estate agent, why?
Was that nigga too cool to go to flight school and learn how to fly planes through the friendly skies?
But nah, he told you he had to do what he had to do to put food on yall plate to dine.
You mean to tell me all that slanging and banging was to give yall greater lives when God gave him drive?
And that Big Meech back up singing ass nigga left your moms out here alone for the latest ride?
That don't plague your mind?
Them mistakes aint guides?
And you wonder why them Shotgun Suge shells still ate your spine?
"Look what Ray Ray got Lil Jimmy out here in New York doing!"
Tell your OG Bobby Johnson you tried to steal the wrong radio this time.
Something to think about next time you on stage waving signs,
Trying to be like the only daddy you got, I understand you wanna keep his name alive.
But youngin' I'm tryin to save you from your demise
You said it yourself "my pops was a real. NIGGER" youngin that aint no lie.
He was in the business that the system perpetuates from the side
To keep us in the condition where we aint made to survive
But you think he a God
Well let me ask you this, would you kill at will* to save yourself nigga?
Yeah I aint think that was wise.

Its pretty much no holds barred with anything, not just semitism.

Not true. When that one guy was being racist against blacks, it looked like the crowd was going to murder him, that was even a topic in this thread. Yet jokes about Jews, even referencing the holocaust and Hitler seem like they're par for the course when one of the rappers is a Jew.

ok this thread looks kind of old.

Too long for me to see it all, but I got something about his dad not being gangster as well.

I guess this isn't my thing, I found it extremely silly, as I do any rap battle, I also thought rap battles had musical beats, if anything I felt this was a lecture, that I could hardly understand.

Well, at least people can't tell me I didn't give it a try.

That's just because the majority of them problem weren't Jewish, which mook actually mentioned.

Same thing with the 9/11 jokes, the kid jokes, and the mysoginistic slams directed at gf/wife's.

There's an unspoken law that none of that shit shouls go past the battle.

I've noticed this too.

Anybody think these hour long battles are too long? Three rounds and I'm already skipping through the video.

Twenty minute battles are more dense and ether filled.

It doesn't take a rap fan to appreciate Lex's wordplay, and no they usually don't have beats.

Mook was pretty bad in that smack battle, came off as the battle rapper I remember him as; A mediocre one. Caught a couple more Mook battles just to catch up, the Lux battle and the Serius Jones battle, and I wasn't impressed with either. Lux bodied him, and while we actually pretty good against Jones I don't think he deserved that win at all. I haven't followed Mooks battle career closely, so I can't be the one to judge, but I get the feeling he's been overrated.

oh, and Imma just leave this here, some Commentary on Mook and the battle yesterday.

Battle in the OP was awesome, watched the whole video. It was kinda wrong because it got so personal, but it's good to see somebody able to eviscerate a guy by taking apart the gangsta mentality, and showing it up for what it is. That line where he said "you ain't a man, you're just a little boy" was the truest thing said.

Have you ever been to any of your cousin's battles? His battle vs K-Shine was one of the best of 2011.

Unfortunately I started recruiting all over the country for my job before the time he started battling so on the weekends when I am on the road, he is or was having a battle. My cousins went to the K-shine battle at summer madness 1 and said the event was crazy. Shine had a ridiculous 1st but we still say that mook or Rex wrote that.

I would like him to have a couple more battles now because the culture is reaching new heights and he shouldn't miss out on it, but his music is building a crazy buzz so I see why he is going the route he is right now.

Anyone have any more legendary battles?

Juice vs Supernatural:

The above link is audio only as Im having trouble finding a vidoe of the whole battle. Its considered one of the greatest and influential freestyle battles of all time.

Cool man thanks for the response.

lol Aye Verb talking the truth. Aye Verb is one of my favorites. Too bad the stupid NYC crowd booed during his rounds against Trex.

That one battle between the two girls, the one girl said the other girls boyfriend was from pakistan and his people took out the world trade center or something and now she is paying him back. Seemed really stupid but the crowd liked it for some reason.
