Man punches kangaroo to defend his dog

why is everyone giving the advantage to the kangaroo? we are an alpha predator btw.

Have you seen their kicks? Even with a kniofe I think the roo wins. Aussies don't have guns, even with a gun you're gonna have to unload a whole lotta 9mms into this thing.

What an idiot. Did it after the kangaroo had already let go and the kangaroo was probably only defending themselves from the dog.

Kangaroos don't just "defend". They're roided up dude-bros of the animal kingdom that like to fuck shit up.

A decent size roo would fuck a human up without a tool. Animal strength is usually just a different level. Humans get big but we suck at functional strength compared to animals.

What we lack in strength and speed we make up for in endurance and ability to recover from injury, though. That's how we survived and thrived.

WORLDSTARRR

Nah, but this video is hilarious. I love how stunned the kangaroo is after getting punched, "fair play mate that was a decent dig".

None of that means shit if the animal gets a hold of our ass before we can run off.

The man did legitimately send the kangaroo reeling. The kangaroo was advancing on him at that point. I don't blame the man. If it was here in the US the owner of the dog probably would do something horrible like shoot at the kangaroo and accidentally hit the dog on purpose.

We are lucky we are in a world where nobody was hurt.

And yet for millennia, we got by.

There used to be a lot of different species of humans, some more durable than us. We are the last surviving twig of a dead evolutionary branch. It wasn't until the last few thousand years that we were an insignificant part of the ecosystem. Humans also are not that strong or durable for our size.

I also can't help but roll my eyes at the "but what if the guy had a knife or a gun, he'd win" Yeah sure, and if we're talking about irrelevant hypotheticals, what if the kangaroo could breath fire?

We sacrifice raw strength for fine muscle control. We have greater degree of precision in which we can activate our muscle fibers, whereas Gorillas are like zero to one-hundred only.

All they want to do is cuddle, bro.

Kangaroos are easily one of the most bizarre looking creatures in the world. They've got this marsupial looking head, the torso of a yoked up human, huge claws, and then these massive legs and tail.

What a weird concoction nature created with that one

What humans really excelled at was intellegence and cooperation.

If the camera man had helped out and surrounded the roo while shouting and throwing rocks might have gotten same results

Still guy was very brave and very lucky. Gambled his well being to protect his dog. Feels good to win.

The moment that kills me in that video is when the man and the Kangaroo square-up.

Like, I'm waiting for a "Round 1. FIGHT!" to come up. It's just too perfect.

Inventing guns is pretty alpha

I mean, we could probably invent a virus that kills only Kangaroo's.

No-sell that you giant douchebags.

"hey hit me?"

" By the ancient kangaroo accords this man is a bad ass and I must leave him to his devices, he shall now receive the blessings of health and muscle growth. I'll be on my way "

If the fight comes down to using all available resources, the things mankind have created should be fair. I'm pretty sure our species strength comes from being social and intelligent.

So buying a gun from a fellow human to shoot down a roo is fair IMO.

Kangaroos breathing fire is not normal to the species so shouldn't count.

How strong are their arms? Could one choke a human out? Just curious because the dog in the video was looking around and looked pretty calm with its arms around his neck.
