Man Shot Dead Over PS4 Sale

But the seller offered him the PS4 for free once he saw the gun, as would anyone. If he was just planning a robbery, wouldn't that be mission accomplished?
Maybe he told him he was going to rob him without showing a gun, the owner of the PS4 fought back, and that's when the gun came out. Is there an eyewitness account of what transpired?

From what I understood his GF and others (sellers) was in the car with him.

and btw for the person for put a ? for the pic of the 40z beers being poured out, people pour an alcoholic drink on the ground in tribute, typically to respect a dead or incarcerated friend.

This saddens me, makes you wonder about humanity sometimes.....
I hope the killer gets deathrow

Someone that values a videogame system over a human life doesn't deserve to live.
For some reason I think deathrow is not enough. Public humiliation and torture would be more like it to prevent others from it. Then again the medieval times have passed, oh well.

I should probably stop reading morbid shit for a while.

The couple expressed reservations about meeting Collins at the relatively out-of-the-way spot, Clark said, but reluctantly agreed.

After Uwakah drove up at 3:30 p.m. with his girlfriend in the passenger seat, Collins asked to see the console through the couple's partially rolled-down window, the prosecutor said. The car was still running.

"He reached in as if he was going to get money from his coat and pulled out a gun," Clark said.

Uwakah gently pushed the gun away and offered to give Collins the PlayStation, Clark said, but Collins fired four rounds, hitting Uwakah twice in the arms and twice in the stomach.
Granted, this is just one account.

We can't know for sure that this really went down until you hear all of the sides.

I am extremely sorry for the victims family as any violence like this should never happen, especially when GAMES are involved.... but this story does sound very far fetched and not realistic at all.

Could be true, the dude with the gun could have been amped up on adrenaline and made a really bad choice when he perceived a threat that wasn't there.

Though, the story indicates that the victim pushed his arm gently, then offered to give it for free, and THEN got shot?

Maybe her relaying of the story was a bit mixed up due to trauma/shock. We're not detectives though. In any case, it's terrible that this happened.

The guy didn't even take the console after he shot the other guy. I think he just wanted to kill someone, and console sellers were easy targets.

WTF, is wrong with people. How is that a justifiable act. You get caught, the rest of your life is spent in prison and you don't have the PS4. Reminds me of the theft of my bike when I was kid. My cousin is riding the bike. Kid walks up to her and ask if he can ride the bike, she says no and he proceeds to push her off the bike and rides off with it. This is just ten times worst.

If your going to sell anything online and your meeting someone to complete the sale. Do it inside a mall, some where public.

Can you catch the killer or at least get new info, by finding out the serial number of the ps4 sold to the dead customer and matching it to an online id of the machine when it is used online?

R.I.P. If only they would have trusted their instinct and stayed out of that "out-of-the-way spot".

I guess nobody reads anything at all before posting. Because literally 2 posts up I mentioned that the guy didn't even take the PS4, he just killed the guy and left.

Damn that is sad. It is a videogame! Hopes for mankind are in downward spiral.

I get that a guy died but i cant stand these hyperbolic posts. People have always been capable of evil. Since day one. The only difference is that now there are many many more avenues to express that evil.

And perhaps more importantly, many more avenues for the evil that people do express to be communicated to the world at large.

Things like this happened in the 80s, and the 50s, and the 1800s, but they weren't posted on the internet for everybody to know about less than 12 hours later.

Exactly.

He didn't just kill the guy and leave, though. He shot the guy through a partially opened car window, the guy driving took off and died later. That's why the piece of shit never got his PS4.
