Naruto
This chapter seals it. Naruto's history MAKES NO SENSE. Not only did Minato and Kushina die RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE THIRD, but he chooses not to raise Naruto? He just buys him a house and tells him,"Live here. lol" Naruto is a GODDAMN hero, and he ends up living his life in loneliness? It makes no sense on any level: there's zero justification or reasoning behind it. Third could have easily told the people of Konoha and they would have protected Naruto with their life. Instead there's a misunderstanding and he's treated like a freak. Not only this, but the Nine Tails had Sharingan eyes. Surely he could have deduced that the huge 5 foot eyes in face had sharingan symbols, meaning that someone of the Uchiha was controlling and that it WASN'T just a natural disaster? Kishi needs to go more in Naruto's past, because the treatment he received from villagers just makes no sense.
That said:
- I like how gusty the fourth is. He places the village and country on par with his child. Definitely fit for a Hokage. Minato was a beast.
- I don't think Kushina telling Naruto he should choose "someone like his mother" necessarily means "go with Sakura". Hinata shouldn't be weird at all to Naruto now if he's smart enough to put some clues together: she wants your balls man, and she's shy. Not to mention Sakura seems nothing like Kushina.
- The Third STILL sucks.
One Piece
- This chapter was so jam-packed with content.
- I predict that the message means "meet me in the new world". Kuma probably just shot lasers at Iva during the war because he's still a double agent. I bet you anything he used his paw power to send the ship to the first island of the new world.
- Luffy's dedication to the fallen was nice. His new tattoo is kinda disappointing. Thought it'd be on his chest.
- Kidd is a beast and the inevitable Luffy vs Kidd fight will be amazing.
- LIGHTNING ISLAND!!!! Jesus Christ. I suspect in the New World, in order to dock on most islands they'll have to use individual Strawhat powers. Since Nami now has pretty much full control of the weather now, due to her time in Weatheria, she should be able to dissolve the mystery of Lightning Island.
- I suspect the things that dropped in on Capone was Nami and the Weatheria sky island. Capone can't be too far from the beginning of the New World and the island has to drop somehow. Nami and cloud guy being chased after people supports this. Just a theory on my part, though.
- If Hancock can't survive without Luffy when he went to Marineford, how is she supposed to live without him he leaves her to go with his crew. Hancock am Strawhat imminent.
- I didn't realize what Coby did back then was haki. Then again, he got everyone's attention. Since Garp and Sengoku are stepping down solely to train young marines, this means Coby and Helmeppo will be getting full treatment.
- This also leaves an Admiral and Vice Admiral position open. Coby's dream is to become an admiral, no? Or was it Vice Admiral? I suspect Coby will be getting training until he is able to replace Garp and take his position. As for the Admiral position, while Sengoku suggested Aokiji, we all know that's not going to happen. It will likely be Akainu because he's the type of "justice" they need right now with the great Pirate era basically being renewed upon Whitebeard and Ace's deaths. He will rape with an giant fire fist. Also, Akainu being admiral will allow him the ability to have a more prominent role in the story and if we learned anything from the past arc, Akainu will play a HUGE part in the development of Luffy, and probably be Luffy's biggest antagonist next to Blackbeard and Coby. Luffy vs Akainu IS inevitable.

- Franky being a terminator is beyond badass.
