I just realized that Tsunade did nothing this fight.

I retract the statement I made last week. Kakashi would definitely have been better replacement of Tsunade.
 
Calling it now: Tobi is the other half of black and white Zetsu. One half for chackra and transformation, the other half for combat... or something.

Actually another badass fight, though I think that was kind of a rushed end. I kind of get the impression that there's no way Tsukishma is actually done for. I feel like he should have taken a lot longer to beat.

That's just your Bleach sense tingling. You may be right, but I have the feeling more of an impact of them being humans makes me feel once they get fucked up, they're dead. Now if you remember stuff about Bleach and how it works when people die - they get sent to Soul Society. Yeahhhh. Or become hollow.

Since these are humans that have hollow powers, it stands to reason they can immediately become hollows or evolved ones.

Hahaha the dude with 2 super eyes (12? If you include his 6 paths I think) didn't see or sense a bright yellow glowing kid flying through the air?

That aside, this chapter was dope. Though I'm curious to see if Tsunade can do anything offensive since her whole deal was "I'm super strong" which I feel like is pretty meaningless nowadays.

What is it with Madara? All he does is say "This is quite impressive"...he's said it about 10 times now. Tsunade ain't shit. Oh, and don't even get me started on the Tsuchikage Talk No Jutsu (well, without the Talk).

"Just by fighting with you, I want to change, and now, we can end this cycle of hatred together!" That's some bitchmade shit right there. This old dude is supposed to be an OG. Instead, he's got a damn Naruto clone making him realize that everything he's done in his 100 years of living has been worthless.

But this chapter wasn't all bad, there was some action, and the last panel was cool. The fact that the main Naruto is still running around in Chakra mode and ready to take on Tobi is kind of stupid though. Oh, and also, I thought to myself "How did Naruto hit him" as well. De-materialization doesn't work all of a sudden?

Bleach: B+

Hey, this shit was good. Almost no bullshit even if some of these panels have nothing in them played off as "action."

Despite that, this was a badass fight. The fact that you'd have to come up with shit on the fly to be able to defeat Tsukishima is the only thing that makes sense, so I'm glad there wasn't some retconned bullshit to stop his power. Oh, and the stuff that Byakuya did was great too, but the best thing was seeing how he's a lot more similar to Kenpachi than we previously imagined. Him and Kenpachi have made an awesome team ever since two arcs ago.

Now I wonder what happens with Tsukishima. He is human, but is he dead? Or will he become a Hollow? I don't think he will be killed off like the other ones, and he was still kind of trollsmirking even though Byakuya claimed the battle was over. I think there's still more to this.

She was never really useful since the start of the Hueco Mundo arc.

It was a great preliminary fight chapter but I hate how Tsunade got sidelined (all of the other kages got some decent action) I'm a little sad to see that badass Naruto clone go, but the real Naruto's now has a drive vs Tobi. He's still going to get his ass kicked and bee's pretty much dead, but he won't go down without a fight. IDK, for some reason I thought this chapter would wow the hell out of me.

Tsukishima a.k.a greatest fighter in Bleach, a.k.a god... oh wait. I'm glad Byakuya saw through his shit ("ooh i trained with you blah blah blah, stfu") and stabbed him (i hope he doesn't die xD) I wonder what Rukia and her playmate is up too.
 
Currently rereading Hunter X Hunter, and the ant arc actually made me forget how awesome this series is. I'm curious of how it will hold up when I read it all in one go, as opposed to stretched out over a couple of years. I'm currently in the middle of the Greed Island arc, and still can't understand how he got away with the stone penis/vagina... Hisoka is awesome but also very creepy, which somehow makes him even more awesome...

No it's not. It's character development. Two people start hanging out, they start exchanging and absorbing ideals from one another. Expect Kenpachi to actually prepare for a battle in the future, strange, I know. It's GROWTH.

Kenpachi and Byakuya can´t stand each other. There is no way in hell they would hang out and exchange idea. That´s not how Kenpachi works. Kenpachi wants to cut stuff, that´s it.

At first i liked him, but his one dimensional shtick got old. If he did follow his own advice after the Ichigo defeat, i would consider him as a good character, until then, no. I prefer Komamura and Mayuri to Kenpachi.

Fucking 10/10. Great chapter, Madara's definitely not showing his full power, right now I think he's just observing everyone else's abilities. When it's all said and done though, I think that Tsunade will deliver the final blow to Madara, with her being the first's grand daughter and what not. Also, HOLY FUCK I did not expect Tobi to meet so soon, and with a headbutt! classic Naruto.
 
Bleach and Naruto were pretty good. All the last panels were boss as fuck! Here's hoping Naruto kicks Tobi's ass and Ichigo gives Ginjou a curbstomp

If this were true of Kenpachi, how do you explain Yachiru's existence/role?

Also, I wouldn't say they can't stand eachother, they just put on that front. I think they know that when it comes to fighting that they are probably similar in their nature. Byakuya suppressed it, and "despises" Kenpachi for letting that instinct run wild. Kenpachi despises Byakuya for hiding that instinct.

Yachiru? I can´t believe you are comparing Byakuya to Yachiru. Kenpachi gave her her name and adopted her. She is like his daughter. He treats her different than he treats everyone else. Well Kenapchi and Byakuya cannot stand each other. It was showed on several occasions. First one when Rukia was sent to jail in SS arc, Kenpachi told Byakuya that he will kill Rukia and he and Byakuya almost fought until Gin tied up Kenpachi, and left. The second one was the fight with Yammy.

Kenpachi and Byakuya´s fighting style cannot be more different. Byakuya is actually an intelligent fighter who uses strategies and analyse the situation. Kenpachi charges and wants to cut stuff. Byakuya is arrogant/dignified. Kenpachi is a brute/barbaric. The oly thing in common is that they both are captains in the gotei 13.

I am not comparing Yachiru to anyone. I simply said "why do you think she is there at all?"

She exists solely to show that Kenpachi is not all brute and only wants to cut stuff. Have you seen her fight? She is the proof that Kenpachi does have a heart, and the existence of an exception means that Kenpachi is not one dimensional in this regard.

Neither did I say that Kenpachi and Byakuya necessarily like each other. What I said was that they are similar in their nature (the thrill of the battle). One suppresses it, the other lets it run wild, and the way that they handle their natures is in fact the fundamental difference. Their nature is indeed the same, and it was basically proven with this most recent chapter.
 
So the big Naruto fights are:

Naruto and Bee? vs. Tobi and his six paths
Five Kages vs. Edo Madara
Edo Itachi vs. Kabuto

I wonder which one Sasuke will shit up. Probably Itachi's.

Ikkaku's basically Kenpachi as well.

Kenny's introduction was him needling Byakuya though, so this kind of interaction is well established.

Epic chapter with an epic finishing moment. Tsukishima is just one cool guy and leave it to Byakuya to continue to be that Shinigami that is as reckless to his own self as Kenpachi. I love it when it turns out so intense that he ends up experiencing tons of damage and triumphs. Ichida v Ginjou cant come soon enough.

The only way that guy can get hit is from an 'un trained' technique.... and then byakuya falcon punched the dude, with petals in his hand? I assume he 'rode' the petals to accelerate his punch?

On a side note, isn't this the first time byakuya punched anything in any media? He's always been a slapper in the games ;)
