Oh my god this was so perfect. Reading the manga while listening to the OST of the movie. Hell I even timed it to have One More Time, One More Chance to be playing at the same time as the movie. Amazing.

I don't remember that much focus being given on Risa. From what I remember in the movie, he was just ignoring her calls and texts and left her. The manga has given her time and fleshed our her character better which was pretty great. Also the 10 years later Kanae was awesome as well.

And another fucking cliffhanger ending. But who cares, the manga was perfect.

Freezing: First Chronicle (ch 2)

Chiffon is still elite tier and this chapter focused on more bullying. So Ticy gets her turtle kidnapped...sigh...and is forced to go voyeur on Chiffon. Fuck kidnapping, I'd do that shit standard. Anyway, she does it and Chiffon uses the force to know the cameras were there. So she plays along...I don't even know...

So then Ticy is asked to go yuri on Chiffon and capture it for further blackmail. Im Dal Young is a genius confirmed. They actually go at it with some soft stuff but Ticy edits it before delivery. But they let the turtle die cause they overfed it. That was Ticy's best friend! So Chiffon gets pissed at the bullies and they throw white gloves for a future duel.

I wasn't going to start it, but then I remembered Esprit translations picked up again after none for over a year shortly after I posted about it. I thought maybe there were some scanslator lurkers here other than Ignis. Though I'm probably delusional thinking I have that sort of pull, but hey it's worth a shot and I'm not gonna forget something this awesome.

But yeah, it's really cool. It isn't without its problems (some asspull wins here and there), but for what it is, there's really very little to complain about. Just your old-fashioned rule of cool battle shounen with some occasional drama.

Has potential. I like the main character even if he is a pretty typical "thug that wants to make friends but sucks at looking friendly". At least you can tell he's badass since he uses his fists even when given a supernatural weapon shaped like a lollipop.

Nearly teared up at the end of the dog beast arc. I can't do sad dog stories, but at least it had a relatively heartwarming ending.
