Mario devs on Peach's love for Mario, Captain Toad, Level changes (Gameinformer)

I prefer the lore where Bowser kidnaps Peach to get the attention of Mario without Bowser himself explicitly knowing it, but Peach going to the dark side and falling in love with Bowser eventually is cool as well.

She loved him from the start. Mario is just helping them play out their kidnapped/kidnapper games without knowing it.

It's clearly both, the two aren't mutually exclusive.

And a whole lot of convoluted Mushroom Kingdom diplomacy intrigue of course. Bowser is trying to end the sanctions, the Koopa are starving. This Odyssey marriage plan is an attempt to reunify the two kingdoms and bring stability for his people.

I was so distracted with the various typos I hadn't even noticed this mess up. Where are there editors?
 
Peach and Bowser been bangin' all these years and each time they get in a fight she makes up some bs about 'being kidnapped'. Mario continues being the white knight chump that 'rescues' his friend with the hope that she'll finally see him for the nice guy he is. She doesn't and won't. Inevitably she'll get 'kidnapped' by Bowser again but in reality she can't quit his dragon dong and he's different when it's just them. Sad part is Luigi made out with Peach when Mario is Missing went down and he hasn't even hit first base.

It's pretty bad, yeah. I sent an email about the name error to GI, I hope they pay attention to that stuff because I'm dying to find out who played what.

Eh, we'll see, because in in certain courses in SM64 you needed to do certain first in other to do another stuff later, for example in Whomp's Fortress you needed to defeat the boss first to get a good bunch of other stars, in others, like say Rainbow Ride, you could do it on any order.

I like this conspiracy theory. Mario is a moron for falling for the friendzone trick for 30 freaking years now. There were cookies that one time, though, unless his dumb ass actually wanted cookies out of the deal. Or was it a cake? Ugh. I'm old. Whatever, still an idiot.

If I recall correclty in New Super Mario Bros. Wii or Super Mario 3D Land's character description I think it said something about Peach was starting to feel embrassed of being kidnapped so much.

I hope they manage to integrate this into gameplay. Saw the Captain in a place you need to jump to get to? Who's to say he didn't fall from the sky and there's a platform up there? Saw him in a place where you need to jump to get out from? The Captain always has a plan, so look closer for a hidden path or a leap of faith. That'd be neat.

He's put her on a pedestal. It's his fault too because Peach was honestly done with Bowser during the first game but Mario never made a move. He had the perfect opportunity during this weird road trip he scheduled with Peach, Toad and Luigi but instead of letting her know how he felt he got timid and chased after some weird bird dinosaurs the whole time. He got completely friendzoned after that
 
Watch one of the later objectives/levels be something you jump into 2D for at the end of the level and it becomes the Donkey Kong arcade game where you go save the mayor Pauline.
 
Day One for Captain Toad 2. Captain Toad for Smash. Captain Toad for Mario Kart 9. Captain Toad for ARMS guest star. Captain Toad for a Platinum action game.

I've had a similar theory for years. Only difference in mine is that Mario knows the score and is just helping the star crossed lovers of two kingdoms have some alone time that can be explained away as a "kidnapping". I mean Bowser is played up as the villain, but he's still buds with everyone, they party together, go cart together, play a variety of sports on the weekend, fight off threats to existence together. It's all good.
 
I ship BowserxPeach 100%. Both Bowser and Peach have fantastic characterizations in the Paper Mario games (well the old ones with stories I mean), and I think it's a genuinely hilarious dynamic. I think of Mario as a thrill-seeker kinda guy, just rescues her because it's an adventure.

Like another poster said, Peach's reaction to Bowser Jr. is extremely suspicious
