I read a comment in one of the reviews that it was a common issue and this video just confirms it with André saying they also had the same problem.

They could do it how Mario Golf: World Tour on the 3DS does it.
If everyone in the lobby has the DLC, the option to vote on the DLC courses is there.
If someone doesn't have the DLC, the option is missing.
It'll work like pikmin, where everyone will have to update regardless, but they don't have access to the content. I works fine for every other game with map packs, heck even street fighter 4 has different versions and you can play with each other still.
So no, I don't think it will hurt online at all. Like i said if it's priced like Mario golf, (i think 15 bucks for 4 courses and 5 characters) I doubt many people won't have it anyway.

yeah I saw that its nothing because this happens to the one of 2 places when the track deforms from impact I can imagine they missed this
the remixed Rainbow Road also has this type of wave bounce section to a part of the track wonder if you can fall under that too

It will look much better than that lol .. some pictures uploaded have compression and arent exactly the right quality. Also you sit alot further from your tv than you do your monitor so it wont be an issue...
Are you pausing the game and looking for jaggies? People said the same thing about SM3DW and that game on my 65 inch 1080p tv looks sharp and crisp with no issues.

go into setting on your WiiU and make sure the option is set at 1080p the WiiU will take care of the rest
Goodness no man. I noticed how bad it looks so I paused it and did a screen capture.

Nah, I'm getting the game regardless, so it doesn't mean a HUGE deal to me.
DLC would be a gold mine for this game. If theres ever a time to do DLC, its with MK.

At least it seems it's not the kind of glitch that allows you to skip a portion of the track.

Have you played SM3DW?
Yeah, it looks quite nice even on my 42" 1080p TV, BUT its image quality looks quite a bit better than MK8 even in screenshots.

In Japan it's 5700yen (6156yen with Tax included) at retail. Not sure abut the eShop price. The UK eShop price is equivalent to about 8500yen.

UK and Europe get screwed over so much it's not even funny. In the US and Canada, at least, the price point is much closer to Japan's price.

Was seriously considering the digital copy for ease of use but amazon have it listed at £39 so that's decided that for me. Even with the 10% back for buying on the eshop it still doesn't work out any better. Shame really.
Remember that buying Super Mario Kart will reduce the price of MK8 by £5 (effectively getting Super Mario Kart for free).

It looked gorgeous on my TV, without any particular setting.
I didn't know it was made public yet. I can't find it through browsing or searching on the web version.
Regarding Jaggies, I'm not sure what Nintendo does, but the screen shots from SM3DW have the same effect, but is unnoticeable in motion.
Every. Single. Person and review mention's how beautiful this game is in motion.
That's the worst screenshot I've ever seen of that game.

We should definitely do this. The Mario Golf thread has been doing it and it's been really nice having a pretty constant community to play with.
Yeah, and since there isn't communities in this game, we'll need to add each other for MK8.

If you buy Super Mario Kart on VC first, you get £5.50 discount on Mario Kart 8 download.
Then you'll get £4.20 back on the premium promotion for the Mario Kart 8 (+ Super Mario Kart) download
Then when you use the download code for the free game promo, you'll probably get premium promotion cashback on that too (I'm guessing that will happen, but everything we know about the premium promotion seems to suggest that it will, so I'm somewhat confident)
