Marvel’s The Defenders | Official Trailer

"Put me in, coach! I'm youngry!"

This looks neat

Can't wait to see Luke and JJ's fight scenes with proper choreography. The action in their respective shows was trash.

They don't need much choreography, both characters have no finesse, they are simple strength heroes without any real fight training. Luke just knows how to toss a punch and has no reason to dodge anything. Jessica Jones, didn't really have any major fights.

ANOTHER hallway fight????? I'm done. Fuck this. It's not even bad in the funny way anymore.

Majority of the fights in the series don't take place in hallways, but ok

I would at least check out Luke Cage and Jessica Jones before coming into it, not least because they're entertaining shows in their own right.

Luke Cage? Entertaining? Erm wat?

Looking forward too this tho. Coming from someone who didn't mind Iron Fist and loved Jessica Jones.

Have they... have they made Matt stow his Daredevil costume just so he doesn't stand out next to all the "we can't be arsed doing costumes" show wannabes?

Now it just looks like a bunch of rowdy civilians randomly punching people in well lit corridors.

Marvel Netflix stuff just got worse and worse as it went along.

yeah, put me in the "I could do without Elektra / Stick" team. I do hope they get to have Bernthal to do a cameo, I believe they're still filming for the Punisher; or atleast, there was some overlap.

Stick is such a molten level asshole that I hope he dies every time he comes on screen

Elektra is bomb though, she constantly ruins all of Matt's shit

I don't blame the struggles of Daredevil Season 2's later episodes on Elektra or Stick. It was just two or three episodes too long and had a hard time living up to how well they did the Punisher arc in the first few.

Nahh, I stand by my opinion. It was fun the first two times, but it's beyond lazyness now. It's not engaging when you've seen it numerous times already.

If Elektra was an engaging character with charismatic actress and a solid story around her it would have lived up to it just fine.

I enjoyed all Netflix Marvel shows despite their big flaws and this looks awesome. The interactions seem hilarious and with only 8 eps it has good chance of avoiding the problems of it's predecessors.

And I really hope they will announced Iron Fist S2 soon.

Makes me want to watch Iron Fist.

Also. What the fuck? Sigourney Weaver? I'm in. Weaver needs MORE. Also, looks like there could be incredibly fun character interactions.

Calm the fuck down.
Do you get this antsy everytime you see an action scene out on the streets? Or inside a building?
The way you're talking you'd think every fight from every season of these series has been in a hallway.

Daredevil: Seasons 1 and 2.

Runtime: 24 hours (Approximate)
Time spent fighting in hallways: Five minutes (two sequences)

Jessica Jones: Season 1.

Runtime: 12 hours (Approximate)
Time spent fighting in hallways: None.

Luke Cage: Season 1.

Runtime: 12 hours (Approximate)
Time spent fighting in hallways: 2 minutes (one sequence).

I imagine it's going to be a struggle for the writers to make Matt look competent in comparison to the rest of the team, two of whom are bulletproof and are imbued with super strength. Sort of makes me think of that hallway scene in Iron Man 2 where Black Widow effortlessly takes out about a dozen security guards in about the space of a second, whereas Happy Hogan spends ages struggling against just one.

Are you kidding me? This DD could kick Iron Fist's ass like it was nothing, and JJ only has super strength, she is not bullet proof. The only one who would give him trouble would be Luke.

You're such a reasonable poster
when it comes to anything not involving Dr. Strange.

I think Elektra is fine, at least when it's just her and Matt. The problem is she's so entrenched in all the Stick and Hand bullshit that it torpedoes her hard. Hard to be appealing when you're partnered with generic evil ninja nonsense that pales in comparison to DD's other two threats or the most insufferable character in the entire damn Netflixverse. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck you Stick

Christ, I'm just expressing my opinion. Alright then, carry on.

I mean, the guy has a point. Don't you too get irrationally angry whenever Cap throws his shield? And Gotg used old-timey music, like, 12 times! IN THE SAME MOVIE! LAZYYYY

Don't even get me started on Stan Lee...
