Hope at least the Defenders stays consistently good. Daredevil season 1 was good but than season 2 was kind of meh. Jessica Jones was good for a 1st half but then became meh same with Luke Cage. Iron Fist was just meh in general. The only really good thing from all of them is that the villains overall are quite good. It is kind of the opposite of the Marvel movies sans Loki where the heroes are great but the villains are bad and forgettable to a degree.

Everyone's opinions on this stuff differ. I think the first half of Luke Cage is amazing but the 2nd half drops on quality hard. My personal Netflix MCU ranking is

Daredevil S2
Daredevil S1
Luke Cage
Jessica Jones
Iron Fist

But it's gonna be different for everyone. Cage is for sure worth a watch though if you like Daredevil and Jessica Jones

Is genre conventions better? There's a reason genre movies can subvert your expectations. TV Tropes makes it too granular and diluted, but there is truth to the notion

I love how they managed to condense the entire 13 episode Iron Fist series into like 10 seconds. He gets his ass kicked, claims "I am the Iron Fist!", then uses it once. And I was still bored.

I'm being facetious, here's hoping they can fix their weakest elements and if they don't, that the other elements can hold it up.

Eh, people on GAF seem to despise Iron Fist but I thought it was better than Luke Cage, and way better than Jessica Jones. So no matter how cynical people may get towards defenders, I will end up loving it. Because it seems to be dropping all the boring parts of those two shows.
